With all the excitement, hope and anticipation surrounding this year's World Cup, football is about so much more than the final score.

For many of us, it can bring excitement, pride and connection. But it can also bring stress and anxiety.

If this tournament has taught us anything, it's that talking about how we're feeling isn't a weakness—it's a strength. And the England team have been great advocates for talking about mental health.

Congratulations, England, on another incredible journey. ❤️🤍

And wherever this World Cup takes us next, let us continue to be proud and supportive. And don't forget to look after your own mental health too.

Mental health IS health.

Just as we wouldn't ignore a physical injury, we shouldn't feel we have to struggle alone with our emotional wellbeing.

Looking after your mental health isn't a luxury, a weakness, or something to put off until things get worse. It matters every day.

Seeking support isn't a sign of weakness – it's a sign of strength, self-awareness and self-care.

Be gentle with yourself. Ask for support when you need it. It's okay not be okay and to ask for help.

Not everyone experiences Father's Day in the same way.

For some, it's a day of celebration. For others, it may bring sadness, grief, loneliness, difficult memories, or mixed emotions.

Whatever today means for you, there is no right or wrong way to spend it.

As someone who lost my Dad a few years ago, I sometimes struggle with knowing how to spend a day like Father's Day. There have been times when I've felt guilty for not doing enough, or wondered whether I should be spending it differently. But in truth, it simply doesn't feel the same for me anymore and I am still figuring out what Father's Day looks like for me now.

When those thoughts arise, I try to pause and ask myself what I would say to a friend or a client in the same situation. The answer is always the same: be gentle with yourself and do what feels right for you.

So whatever your experience of today, your feelings are valid. Take the day at your own pace, honour your emotions, and look after yourself.
