A little puffiness under the eyes after anti-wrinkle injections isn’t something most people expect.
The muscle we treat around the eye, the orbicularis oculi, does far more than create those fine lines. Every time it contracts, it also helps pump fluid away from the area. When we relax part of that muscle, that pumping action can temporarily become less effective, and fluid can collect underneath.
It doesn’t happen to everyone, and when it does, it’s usually mild and short-lived. But it’s exactly why careful assessment matters so much. The dose, the injection points, and your own anatomy all shape the result.
For me, the aim is never just to soften the lines. It’s to preserve natural movement while giving you that refreshed, balanced look ✨️
Is this something you’ve experienced?
