Studies show us that young women are more likely to experience stress and anxiety along with feeling depressed. In these uncertain times they are also at a higher risk of unemployment. It is therefore so important that we create a safety net for our young women so they can feel empowered and to enable them to participate socially and economically.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about joy and happiness. And really how hard it can be to find it within ourselves. I used to have this expectation of the world, that it owed me something and in order for me to be happy the world outside had to change!

It has been a long and continual road, but so empowering, when I finally realised that happiness comes from within. Today I try my best to choose happiness and although at times a choice harder to reach within for, one that is serving me greater on this journey....
