Hey, Rebel Vegans! I want to share one of the most encouraging animal rights stories which is playing out in Vietnam now!

Meet Sen, who for 27 years was kept in a small cage on a bear bile farm!

For decades these bears have been imprisoned so that their bile can be extracted for use in traditional medicine.

But now there is hope, Sen lives in a sanctuary where they can climb, forage and simply be a bear!

Working with the Vietnamese Government, Animals Asia are bringing this cruel practice to an end finally!

Come join me in February where I'll be visiting the rescued bears on my Vietnam Tour - stories like this one reminds us that compassion really can change lives!

πŸ‡§πŸ‡· This week's news is that Brazil has just passed a new animal protection law which is putting a ban to the food industry's cruelest practices including foie gras! πŸ‡§πŸ‡·

More than 20 countries have already banned foie gras production, Brazil's ban would ban both production and sale under federal law!

Foie gras is the vile practice of force-feeding ducks or geese through tubes down their throat. Shockingly it's still legal in Canada and United States!

The campaign led by Animal Equality received more than 288,000 signatures over the 6 years of advocacy.

Thank you to Brazil and Animal Equality for campaigning!
