💛 April is Adenomyosis Awareness Month 💛

I first heard your name
in a quiet room
in Visakhapatnam, India

Not in a book
not in a conversation
not in all the years before

But there
after years of carrying pain
that had no language
only weight

A body that kept speaking
in ways I couldn’t translate

Crucifying waves
arriving without warning
interrupting life
business
movement
thought

I knew something wasn’t right
but I didn’t know your name

They said
“suspected endometriosis”

A soft phrase
for something that was not soft

Then the scan
the pause
the shift in tone

“No… this looks like adenomyosis”

A word I had never met
but one that had already
been living inside me

Written quietly
into the muscle of my uterus

I was forty-two
when you were finally spoken aloud

Forty-two
to understand the years before
the cancellations
the exhaustion
the invisible negotiations with pain

Forty-two
to begin naming
what had been unnamed

And now I wonder

Hi, I’m Nat, founder of Clever Knickers.

This started with my own experience of living with adenomyosis, alongside PMDD.

After years of struggling, in August 2026, I had a full hysterectomy, including removal of my ovaries. I now feel strong enough to do something about the journey so many women are forced to navigate.

For a long time, I felt like I was managing it all alone.
The pain.
The fatigue.
The unpredictability of my body.
And the lack of practical support.

Clever Knickers wants to change that.

This is about building a community.

A space where women feel seen, supported and connected. Turning pain into something powerful and helping women show up in the world, even on the hardest days.

I’ll be sharing this journey openly.

The ideas, the challenges, the progress and most importantly, the voices of women who have endured a similar journey.
