STUFFED PROTEIN BALLS🤎

Rich, chocolatey, and naturally sweet.
These no bake protein balls are made with dates, cashews, cocoa, seeds, and flax, soft, fudgy, and finished with a creamy peanut butter centre. The perfect grab and go snack when you want something nourishing and satisfying.

Ingredients:
Soft dates, roasted cashews, raw cocoa powder, toasted sesame seeds, ground flaxseeds, and peanut butter.

How to:
Add the dates, cashews, cocoa, sesame seeds, and flaxseeds to a food processor and blend until the mixture holds together when pressed.
Roll into balls, create a small crater in the centre, and fill with peanut butter. Seal, roll smooth, and coat in cocoa or sesame seeds if you like.

Storage:
Keep in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

A little energy boost with a surprise centre✨

Try this quick breath tool to re-centre yourself 😌

One of my favourite nervous system tools is called Humming Bee.

It’s simple, grounding and very effective if you’re feeling anxious, overstimulated or unable to switch off.

How to do it:

➡️ Sit comfortably and close your eyes
➡️ Use your thumbs to gently press the small flaps in front of your ear canals to close them
➡️ Let your fingers spread up and over the top of your head
➡️ Take a slow breath in
➡️ As you breathe out, hum softly
➡️ Then pause and notice the vibration and quiet inside your head

Keep your attention on the sensation rather than your thoughts.

I use this a lot in the evening — especially if I’ve worked late or feel a bit wired.
It helps me settle, re-centre and come back into my body.

Simple, but powerful.

Save this for later and let me know if you try it 🤍

TOFU CREAM CHEESE ✨

Simple, savoury, and quietly luxurious.

A creamy, plant-based spread that comes together in minutes and works almost everywhere — on toast, bagels, crackers, sandwiches, or swirled through bowls and roasted veg.

You’ll need:
200g firm tofu
20g cashews, soaked in boiling water for 15 minutes
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves (or roasted – see tip)
1 tsp onion powder
1½ tbsp white miso
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
3–4 tbsp unsweetened soy milk
1 tsp sea salt
Black Pepper
2–3 tbsp freshly chopped chives (stir in after blending)

How to make it:

Add everything except the chives to a blender and blend until smooth and thick but spreadable.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then stir through the chopped chives.

Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Tip:
If you’re sensitive to raw garlic, roast it in the oven until soft before blending — it mellows the flavour beautifully and is easier to digest.

Plant-based comfort that actually satisfies 💚

Your guide to winter eating 🍎

Here’s the truth about your diet in winter:
your body doesn’t want juices, smoothies and cold salads.

It wants warm, nourishing, comforting food 🍲

When the weather is cold, your nervous system and digestion are already working harder.
Piling on cold, raw foods often has the opposite effect of what you’re aiming for.

Eating salads might feel like the “healthy” choice — especially if weight loss is the goal — but in winter it often leads to:

more cravings

lower energy

poorer digestion

increased stress on the body

Warm, nutrient-dense meals help your body feel safe and supported.
When the body feels safe:

appetite regulates

blood sugar stabilises

you stay fuller for longer

the nervous system calms

Ironically, eating in sync with the season often makes weight loss easier, not harder.

This isn’t about comfort eating your way through winter.
It’s about eating in a way your body recognises and responds to.

I’ll be sharing warming winter recipes that support both your body and your nervous system - keep an eye out!

Is your nervous system flexible? 🤸‍♀️

If your nervous system can move into fight or flight quickly and then back into a parasympathetic state quickly, then it is!

This means that you can deal with difficult situations, but you can come out of those situations and feel okay again fairly quickly.

What you want to avoid is being stuck in the fight or flight state.

And if you find yourself often getting stuck, this is when you need to take action to improve.

Because it can end up impacting your long-term health, which is often where chronic illness comes from.

Not sure what state your nervous system is in? DM me ‘NERVOUS SYSTEM’ and let’s talk it through🤍

8 signs you’re stuck in fight or flight 👀

Nervous system regulation starts with awareness.
You can’t change a state you haven’t recognised.

If you’re in fight or flight, your job isn’t to push harder, optimise more, or “fix” yourself.
It’s to meet the state you’re in and respond appropriately.

Here are 8 signs you may be stuck in fight or flight:

😣 Tightness in the chest
😣 Headaches
😣 Feeling on edge or jumpy
😣 Increased irritability — everything gets under your skin and your reactions feel out of proportion
😣 Racing thoughts
😣 Deep tiredness (even if you’re wired)
😣 Anxiety
😣 Strong cravings to dopamine your way out — food, shopping, Netflix, alcohol, gambling, scrolling

If you recognise yourself here, don’t mess with your nervous system.

This is not the moment for discipline, restriction or pushing through.
This is the moment for calming, grounding and safety cues.

Regulation first.
Everything else comes after.

I’ll share simple ways to do this in my next post — keep an eye out.

5 easy ways to get your body out of fight or flight 🙌

Social media loves to tell you that nervous system regulation means more:
more clean eating
more workouts
more supplements
more protocols

But when you’re stuck in fight or flight, more is often the problem.

Regulation usually comes from less — less stimulation, less pressure, less trying to fix yourself.

If you’re in fight or flight and want to come out of it, these are my go-to resets:

① Step away from the gym
Hard workouts can keep you stuck in stress mode.
Lying down, reducing stimulation, and genuinely resting often does far more for your nervous system than pushing your body.

② Plant your feet and shake
Stand barefoot if you can. Shake out your arms, legs, jaw, shoulders.
This helps discharge excess stress energy from the body.

③ Push hard against a wall
Strong, steady pressure gives your nervous system a sense of containment and support.
Simple. Grounding. Very effective.

④ Bang a cushion into the bed
Physical expression helps move trapped energy out.
It doesn’t need to look pretty to work.

⑤ Scream into a pillow
Sometimes frustration needs an outlet.
Anger may come first. Tears often follow.
Both are regulating.

From a food perspective — don’t overthink it.
Stick to 3 proper meals a day.
Eat enough protein.
Reduce ultra-processed foods.
And don’t fast — restriction signals threat and keeps you stuck in fight, flight or freeze.

If you feel chronically wired, exhausted, anxious, or unable to switch off — this isn’t a willpower issue.
It’s a nervous system pattern.

And it’s changeable.

If you want support, DM me FIGHT and let’s talk 🤍

THE EVERYDAY LENTIL PASTA 💚

Simple. Nourishing. Easy to throw together.

Red lentil pasta tossed with roasted courgette, peppers and mushrooms, finished with a generous spoon of vibrant pesto.

High-protein, plant-based, and perfect for an effortless lunch or dinner.

My go-to combo? red lentil pasta with their basil pesto.
Great quality, clean ingredients, and none of the unnecessary extras.

This is the kind of comfort food your nervous system actually likes — grounding, satisfying, and genuinely nourishing.

Comfort food that loves you back 🍝🌱
