📣 “The only thing that’s really ever threatened my life with HIV was the self-stigma…” What is it really like to live with HIV as a heterosexual man, and how has that experience changed over time?

In Episode 5 of the Getting to Zero Podcast, Donal and Iain share powerful, honest reflections on diagnosis, stigma, dating, relationships and self-acceptance.

From the realities of the 1990s to life today, their stories highlight both the progress we’ve made ᠆ and why stigma, misinformation, and barriers to testing persist.

💬 This episode explores:
• self-stigma and confidence after diagnosis
• the importance of U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable)
• dating, relationships, and disclosure
• generational and cultural differences in attitudes to HIV
