Been procrastinating on posting full body pics on IG because, despite all the healing I’ve done so far when it comes to my ED and body image, I still find pictures quite triggering 😌. Sometimes I struggle to connect with my image and so I avoid pics altogether because that feels easier. Makes sense, right?

BUT… it’s not what I’m about. With my business - coaching and personal training - I push women to show up unapologetically and feel good in their bodies, so I’ve got to walk my talk even if sometimes it’s scary ✨💜.

So here’s a promise to myself to show up more, even if it freaks me out because I’m not doing it just for myself. I have a much higher purpose that is bigger than myself.

In this social media world where 3/4 of the images we see have been retouched, I think it’s important to see what humans actually look like “au naturale” 😁!

I’ve never been one to edit my photos, besides the standard lighting/ shadows and other minor things because I am scared I won’t be able to accept the way I look IRL anymore. I still think I’ve made a wise choice 👏.

Let's talk about B👀BS

I've always had big b***s (not a flex, just a fact) and growing up I absolutely HATED THEM. I wore large tops and minimising bras to make them look as small as possible.

As I grew up I started to appreciate them more. I wore tops that were actually my size and this is where the problems began. I was basically told that I am the one responsible for unwanted attention.
Many times I was made to feel self conscious by both men and women because I was, in their words, "too sexual" and my b***s were too "out there" (out of curiosity, where the f do you want me to put them??). This made me feel so ashamed, as if I had done something wrong to deserve such comments and so I started hiding them again.
If a woman with small breasts shows them off it's all good, but if another one with big b***s is shameful! Nah!!

I didn't wear a low cut tops for years and years to avoid "the looks"... until I read a post by , who said she keeps receiving comment from people telling her to basically cover up her b***s and stop "flaunting them". To this she responded something along the lines of "These are my b***s. They are big and it is what it is, I won't apologise for it. Deal with it" - damn that was powerful and really started shifting the way I see my ladies. I am done apologising so that other people feel comfortable, f**k that!
I'm done apologising. Does that mean I will go around half naked? Nope (nothing wrong if that's your vibe). It simply means that I will wear what I want and if someone feels annoyed, F**K THEM.

I used to do BOTH, for years, all the time and as a result my hunger and fullness cues were gone.
I could only sense when I was ravenous and when I was uncomfortably full, nothing else in between. I had forgotten what gentle hunger and fullness were until I healed through Intuitive Eating 💜

I had to learn how to trust my body after having done so since I was 6 years old and let me tell you, it was hard, but I made it and so can you!!

Yesterday I saw a post about Body Dysmorphia and it really resonated with me as I do still struggle with it from time to time 😊.

BDD is a sneaky b***h and sometimes it can hit really hard. This turns into having a very negative body image day.
It makes me think "If my body looked like XYZ I would be always happy", but that couldn't be further from the truth. The more I used to obsess about my body, trying to change it, the worse my BDD became.

Sometimes I'm unable to see myself the way other see me and it's hard, but it's ok because I know I am loved and I know it will pass 💜. I just want to remind you that you too, are loved and that your bad days will pass also!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Not a body image/ nutrition related post for once, but it's definitely about self-love and relationships, so read on 💜

I used to think/ feel that in order to be loved I had to be perfect in nearly every way, especially physically and deep down I also believed that I wasn't worthy of being accepted for who I am.
These beliefs played a big role in me settling for a relationship that made me so incredibly unhappy, destroyed my self-esteem and left me with many wounds to heal.

When that relationship ended I was really broken inside and had to put all the pieces back together one by one. I started working on myself to re-build my self-esteem and sense of self. Still working on it and I'm happy to report I've made HUGE progress, I am proud of the woman I am today and that I am growing into 😊!

Although I might have done the work myself (with the help of the best therapist ever), my gorgeous boyfriend hugely helped me through the process by being there for me every step of the way, accepting me exactly for who I am. He showed me that I don't have to change or be perfect to be cherished, uplifted and appreciated 🥺💜

To all my women out there who feel they should 'settle' with mediocre men and women who don't value them, please do not. You deserve better and I promise you there is someone out there for you who's gonna support you and love you exactly as you are!

Let’s talk about how much we are disconnected from our BODIES and how it can negatively affect us! 😫

We are always told:
don’t listen to your body’s signals (aka hunger, tiredness, fatigue, etc...) and so it’s only normal we’ve become the pros at it.
However, this can really quickly backfire in many ways.
