In September I opened a mental health education event at ✨for .jonathanramalho documentary project with a mindful breathwork as part of his film, Beyond the Pill.
Last night that journey came full circle at with the viewing of the final film. Highly recommended. Familiar and new faces in the room, an excellent Q&A and something genuine moving in the air.
This film is a beautiful and very open window into a frightening mental journey that is not spoken about openly enough. It tells you why you might get there, and how much power you carry if you ever find yourself in a psychotic episode.

Breathwork is a powerful tool to have with you. More than most people realise.
And it was so good to see again. When two of the things I care about most, hypnotherapy and breathwork, are being taken seriously on the same stage, in the same conversation, you know something is shifting.

Thank you for asking me to step into this space with the Remedi family. It matters deeply. And being a mother of two young boys puts it even higher on my list.

This retreat… was something words can barely hold. ✨🤍

There was a softness…a slowing down…
a remembering of what it feels like to truly be.

So many of you spoke about the subtle layers, the way the space felt, the depth of connection, the quiet moments where something shifted without needing to be named.

When the nervous system softens, when the body feels safe, when the mind is no longer racing ahead …
you begin to hear yourself again.

From breath to stillness then to expansion,
from strangers to something that feels like soul family…a Tribe.

Every experience invited you back to yourself and every second had an intention.
And maybe that’s what this work really is?
It’s not becoming someone new, but instead remembering who you were before the noise of society & necessity told you ‘you must be’

The universal language of the nervous system?
LOVE.
Co-regulation is what happens when we attune to each other & our internal worlds start to resonate together. Our biology is designed perfectly to do this through connection, mirroring, and the social connection.
Needing support doesn’t make you needy.
It makes you human.We are wired for connection, simple as that.
Even if you regulate well on your own, your nervous system still longs for safe with others.

When life feels overwhelming, the presence of a regulated person can bring you back to safety. This will soothe emotions, yes, but in addition will support healing in the brain and body, through powerful chemicals like oxytocin and reduced inflammation.

Do you think loneliness affects the body? Loneliness isn’t just emotional, it’s biological.

At the panel we .nima & explored:

• What does chronic loneliness actually do to the body?
• Why is community biologically protective?
• Can breathwork regulate isolation at a nervous system level?
• Do psychedelics increase connection or just alter perception?

Here’s what we know:

Loneliness activates the threat response.
📈Cortisol rises.
⬆️ Inflammation increases.
📉HRV drops.
⬇️Immune resilience weakens.

The body reads isolation as unsafe. But community does the opposite.

Felt safety in connection:
– increases vagal tone
– buffers stress hormones
– improves heart rate variability
– enhances longevity markers

✨Breathwork builds internal regulation.
✨Somatic work restores embodied safety.
✨Psychedelics can dissolve separation however integration and community are what make it lasting.

Longevity isn’t just supplements and hacking your body.
It’s nervous system flexibility.
It’s co-regulation.
It’s belonging.
