In Sanskrit, yoga means ‘union’ or 'to yoke'. A huge part of this practice is all about yoking the connection of my mind, my body, my environment. It helps me to better understand myself, how my body works, and in turn, puts me in relation to others and how their body may or may not work. As a teacher, I strive to always remember that everyBODY is different.

You will often hear me say in class "or not" at the end of a statement. It's because through creating and cultivating connections I've learned that everything is allowed. Bodies move in a variety of ways, and no one way is universal.

Join me on Thursdays at 7:30 am at Zenw2collective as we yoke connection with ourselves, through a challenging yet thoughtful experience.

Theming about transitions as seasons change can sound a bit cliche for those who have been practicing yoga...
