I will have a selection of originals, both seascapes and abstracts, along with some giclée prints. Hope to see you there!

I’m back.

After an incredibly busy couple of months with two back-to-back solo exhibitions, I went to the mountains, the sea (of course) and ran my first half marathon.

Feeling refreshed and ready for spring art fairs and open houses.

my story

I’m Clare Emily, a self-taught artist with no formal training. I’m a musician first and foremost but to avoid twiddling my thumbs during the Coronavirus outbreak I decided to procure some materials and experiment with palette knives and acrylic. After a lot of squidging and spreading Clare Emily Art was born! I take my inspiration from the natural world, being especially drawn to seascapes, having spent a lot of time around Chichester Harbour. In my paintings I seek to celebrate the natural beauty of the world around us, be it its bleak wilderness or innate tranquility; in this world it is too easy to chase false or artificial aesthetics and forget genuine beauty.
