It was a fantastic two days of meeting and greeting (and eating and drinking) with fellow paediatric dietitians. But most importantly learning from incredible speakers about the most up to date research and management in faltering growth, cows milk protein allergies, the formation of gut microbiome in a child's first 1000 days and nutrition in Oncology

The wonderful zinc! One of the first micronutrients that I recommend you pay attention to for your skin health

Foods that contain zinc include:

Nuts & seeds
Wholegrains
Legumes
Eggs
Dairy
Meat

Sources of zinc that come from animal meats have a higher rate of absorption as calcium, polyphenols and phytates can all inhibit absorption. Don't fret though if you're plantbased, simply make sure to have a wide variety of zinc containing plant-based foods and take a high quality supplement if you're worried! Citrate and sulphur found in fruits and vegetables can help zinc absorption 🍋
