Safety is always a concern when exercising, but most people stray away from the deadlift specifically because it is known to “cause” injury to the low back.

Deadlifting often gets the blame for causing back pain and low back injuries, but this also comes with a lack of understanding of the movement.

When setting up properly, for your given height, limb length, Q-angle, and pre-existing conditions, deadlifts can strengthen the low back and hip complex to a point never dreamed of.

💪Mix it up to find the right movement for you 💪

It requires a level of mental and physical fortitude that most average individuals cannot even begin to fathom.

But preparing for a career of uniformed service is just as much of a daily grind as actually serving within the ranks of the Royal Navy.

During the application process, you should expect to undergo a series of physical and mental tests that will determine if you are qualified for life in the Royal Navy.

The first of these tests is the Pre-Joining Fitness Test or PJFT which evaluates your physical capabilities as well as your mental perseverance

Volunteering for military service is one of the most selfless and noble things a person can do in their lifetime 🏵️🥇🏋👌️

Contrary to what Hollywood depicts, the military lifestyle isn’t that glamorous, and while it may be a life for some, the military isn’t for everyone.

➖➖➖
💪⭐The Military Mentality ⭐💪
➖➖➖

1️⃣ Service members are mentally tough. Although a career in the military will require a higher level of fitness than most, an aspect often overlooked by those pursuing a job in the military is the mental toughness that it requires to complete these physical tasks.

2️⃣ Service Members are team players. Besides being mentally resilient those serving in the armed forces need to have a “Team First” mentality at all times.

3️⃣ Service members are self-driven. In addition to working well as part of a team, all members must be capable of working on their own too. In the military, you will be faced with a lot of responsibility including managing training evolutions or equipment that, if not handled improperly, could have fatal consequences.

As a combat athlete, you need to be among the best-conditioned athletes in the world for you to edge towards the championship. Fights tend to intensify, and one simple mistake can cost you the round or more. 🥊👊

➖➖➖
⭐What Is A Metabolic Conditioning Workout? ⭐
➖➖➖
These are workouts that use exercises aimed at burning a lot of calories during your workout session. After the workout ends, these exercises make your body to continue burning calories. They engage the entire body.

➖➖➖
⭐Why Is Metabolic Conditioning Important? ⭐
➖➖➖
These exercises involve the entire body compound movements. More than cardio, or strength training alone, adding these exercises to your routine helps you to be more efficient at losing fat and building muscle. ⠀

You’re also able to train your body on how to utilize various energy systems with more efficiency. These systems of energy include:

1️⃣ Aerobic fitness: how well your body transports and uses oxygen, measured as VO2max. Aerobic respiration is the main source of energy for our steady-state activities.

2️⃣Phosphagen system: creatine phosphate is stored in muscles and provides the necessary phosphate to ADP to form additional ATP. This energy is used for short bursts of exercise like sprinting, powerlifting and striking.

3️⃣ Anaerobic glycolytic system: glucose provides energy via the anaerobic pathway. As a result of this immediate need and slightly longer duration, lactate accumulates in the muscles, inhibiting their contractility.

This Is How McDonald's Fries Are Made 🍟🍟🍟 ⠀

In the UK, McDonald’s source British potatoes that go by the snazzy names “Pentland Deli, Shepody, Innovator, Russet Burbank, and Ivory Russet”. 🥔

These special potatoes are picked for their ability to produce long fries. All potatoes are washed, peeled, and cut up before they’re prepared.⠀

Fun fact, the washed potatoes are shot through a tube at over 60 MPH through razor-sharp cutters for ultimate efficiency and precision. ⚡🏎️

The preparation involves partial frying to get that incredible crispy finish. After prep, they are frozen and shipped to the franchise restaurants.

Frozen in bags initially, they’re then placed into a machine that will automatically weigh and sort the right amount of fries into a frying basket. 🍟

It then takes just 3 minutes in a blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil, plus a pre-configured amount of salt so they’re consistently golden and tasty.

12 Week Training Program For Wrestlers 🤼‍♂️🏋️🚴

1️⃣ Get Strong First

One thing that all wrestlers should know is that power is a time derivative of work. It is the product of force and velocity. Simply put, the stronger and faster you become, the more power you can generate within your weight class.

2️⃣ Train Your Neck

Gary Calcagno, Oklahoma State wrestling strength and conditioning coach, takes a wrestler through the "Neck Series" in this short video you can find on YouTube. You'll see a simple exercise that can be used to increase the strength and flexibility of any wrestler's neck, which will benefit them on the mat.

3️⃣ Beginner Strength Routine

The beginner workout is simple, we respect Mark Rippetoe’s knowledge and experience far too much to not recommend his Starting Strength routine. This method focuses on compound lifts and developing maximal force with some strength speed
