** Online workshop for parents of donor conceived children aged 10-20. Early bird tickets only £50pp - available until 14 May **

Like many parents of donor conceived children, you may find the idea of your child connecting with the donor or half-siblings daunting. You might be unsure how to raise the topic, worried about how your child will feel, or want a safe space to explore what it could mean if - or when - your child chooses to make contact.

Our 'Continuing the Conversation' workshop offers a supportive space to explore these questions, hear from donor conceived people, connect with other parents, and gain practical guidance. You’ll leave better equipped to navigate conversations with your child, understand their potential questions and feelings, and feel more confident in supporting their decision.

BBC news online featured Gini Bhogal’s chance meeting on the Piccadilly line which led her to donate eggs to Anita, ultimately resulting in the birth of Christopher after a difficult IVF journey. Although Christopher only learned in his mid-20s that “Auntie Gini” was his biological mother, he warmly embraced the news, describing it as 'phenomenal' and that he had gained 'a bonus family'. Both extended families have welcomed him warmly and openly and have formed a close bond.

In contrast to the many difficult late-discovery experiences covered in the media, this is a refreshingly uplifting personal story - all the more significant because, with both women of Indian origin, it has given other Asian women permission to share their own journeys in a culture where infertility, let alone egg donation, simply isn't discussed.

Our Telling & Talking workshop is designed specifically with your needs and questions in mind.
