REST WHEN YOU CAN
I was on leave last week for almost 10 days, and honestly, I had plans. I told myself I would use the time to post, create content, engage online, reply to comments and catch up on all the videos and write-ups waiting for me.
But somewhere along the way, I realised something… I didn't need social media. I needed REST. Sometimes we are so busy trying to keep up that we forget our bodies and minds also need a break.
And with the rate at which young people are dying these days, it really makes me stop and think. We talk about eating well, exercising and going for check-ups, but rest is also part of taking care of yourself.
So, did I rest enough? Nooooo 😂😂
Because life doesn't stop just because you're tired. Even with my husband and I sharing the responsibilities of caring for our children, there are still days when I think about single parents and honestly… Kai! You people are trying!
To every single parent doing their best, working, raising children, cooking, cleaning, providing, worrying and still trying to show up every day you deserve love, support and grace.
And to everyone reading this: You don't have to be productive every single day.You don't have to post every day.
You don't have to answer every message immediately.
Please rest when you can.
Put the phone down. Sleep. Sit quietly. Take a walk. Spend time with your family. Do something that brings you peace.
Because sometimes, rest is not laziness. Rest is maintenance.
And please remember this: You cannot pour from an empty cup forever. So tell me honestly… when was the last time you truly rested not just stopped working, but actually RESTED?
Good morning dear Multivitamins😘
