CALMING ANIMAL POSES FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN

👍ask children if they can feel the breath in their body? Many younger kids find it hard to connect with the breath so anything that makes it more tangible such as the breathing ball or exhaling as you blow into your hand and feel the breath helps.

UTTARABODHI MUDRA

🌿 This Mudra can be helpful for calming anxiety. It is also helpful for gathering focus and concentration if you are feeling a bit overwhelmed.

🍃Combine it with 5 slow breaths, counting 5 as you breathe in and 5 as you breathe out.

🍀If focussing in the breath is challenging for you. Rest your eyes on a still object in front of you.

Parenting and caring for others can be beautiful, exhausting, joyful and overwhelming — sometimes all in the very same day.

A few gentle words repeated quietly to ourselves can help us pause, soften and come back to the present moment.

In a world that often measures success through productivity, achievements or comparison, this quote feels like an important reminder.

Real success isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s found in the quiet moments – showing up with kindness, doing meaningful work, staying true to your values and feeling at peace with who you are becoming.

Fot parents, teachers and anyone supporting children, this matters deeply. Children learn not only from what we say, but from how we live. When we model self-respect, balance and authenticity, we give them permission to value themselves too.

Perhaps today is a good day to pause and ask :

5 Finger breathing. This is a good activity when travelling. You can also get children to trace their hands onto a piece of paper and breathe in and out as they draw up and down the lines of their fingers on the paper.
