Sixty-two years ago, I was a baby with the broken bones. My case went to court. It was thrown out, not because nothing happened, but because there wasn’t enough evidence. No conviction. No accountability. Just a newspaper clipping and a lifetime of scars, some visible, most not.

Sixty-two years on, and a baby boy named Preston Davey was murdered by the man who was in the process of adopting him. Hospital admissions. Social worker visits. Warning signs everywhere. And still, nothing stopped it.

I’m asking you to sign the petition “Preston Davey deserved better. Demand a national inquiry.” Not for me, my case closed decades ago, but for every child still slipping through gaps that should have closed a generation ago.

Lack of evidence should never mean lack of belief. It has to stop.
