These trainee roles offer the chance to learn on the job, spend time on set and location, and work alongside experienced teams at Casualtyโs home in Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff Bay.
Applicants must be Welsh, or have a substantive base in Wales, and be 18 or over at the start of the traineeship.

๐ Editorial Trainee
A brilliant entry-level opportunity for anyone passionate about story, scripts, character and the world of Casualtyโs editorial department.
Assessment Date: Mid June (in person at Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff)
Contract: 9 months
๐ Trainee Locations Assistant
For those who enjoy being outdoors, working with people and helping make sure filming locations are safe, organised and ready for the crew.
Assessment Date: June 3 (in person at Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff)
Contract: Mid-late June (6 month contract)
๐ Trainee Make-Up Assistant
For budding make-up artists looking to build a career in TV drama and gain hands-on experience with a busy production make-up department.
Assessment Date: June 10 (in person at Roath Lock Studios, Cardiff)
Start Date: June 22 (6 month contract)

For social media lovers with an eye for strong digital content, trends and storytelling - supporting content capture, archive use and social-first ideas around a major continuing drama.
Assessment Date: Late June, early July
Contract: June - December 2026
