But if you find the right therapist the relationship you have with them can be such a support for you and allow you to heal and make the changes that you are seeking so badly

Anxiety symptoms 👇

I replicated this diagram from the amazing book called "Mind over Mood" which you can find on Amazon

I love how it highlights the 4 categories of how the anxiety symptoms can manifest

When I was really suffering with my anxiety I could definitely relate to the behaviours of trying to be perfect and trying to control everything as well as avoiding anxious situations

Here is why validating yourself is so important 🔻

It will allow you to let go of external validation in order to make you feel worthy. No longer looking to others to make you feel worthy. You will feel worthy all by yourself. How empowering is that 😀

...and the cycle continues.

You can see that the driving force behind the high self esteem cycle is positive self talk.

So if you are looking to break out of this cycle what I would suggest is to start by looking at your negative self talk. Really get conscious about how you are talking to yourself. Without awareness, change can not occur. Become aware and change will follow 💫

SIGNS YOU ARE HEALING ✨

Healing takes time and often we are so fixated on what we need to still change and work on within ourselves that we might not notice the signs that our healing process has already begun.

So this is a little reminder to reflect on your journey so far and tune into the healing that has already occurred. This will allow you to keep moving forward when life feels tougher than normal.

MY MENTAL HEALTH JOURNEY 🌟

What a journey it has been. I have been on this journey for many years and continue to work on myself everyday.

The 19 year old girl in the picture on the left was struggling with so much. I wish I had asked for help back then but I was so full of shame that I tried to do it all by myself and to be honest I felt like I didn't deserve the help anyway. My struggles began way before I was 19 more like 14 so that is a lot of years to struggle alone.

I am now 32 (soon to be 33 🙈 ) and I have learnt so much a long the way. I believe that we learn and grow through our experiences and working as a therapist to support women struggling with similar issues is my number 1 passion.

If you are struggling please know that you are not alone and that there is such courage in asking for help. You don't have to do it alone and you are worthy of receiving the help that you need.

My page isn't a replacement for therapy but I hope it offers you some guidance and support while on your journey. Healing takes time so a gentle reminder to be patient and kind to yourself.
