Your period is coming… and your skin KNOWS. 👀
Ever noticed that your skin can be perfectly behaved one week…
…and then suddenly decide to cause absolute chaos?
You’re not imagining it.
After ovulation, progesterone rises. For some people, this can contribute to increased oil production and congestion.
Then oestrogen drops, and you may lose some of its skin-supportive and anti-inflammatory effects.
Add PMS stress and cortisol into the mix…
…and suddenly that breakout makes a little more sense.
✨ It doesn't mean your skin is dirty.
✨ It doesn't mean you're doing your skincare wrong.
✨ And scrubbing harder isn't the answer.
Your hormones can influence your skin — which is why understanding when your skin changes can be just as useful as knowing what products you're using.
And this is exactly why I don't believe skincare should always be a one-size-fits-all approach.
