This week, we were delighted to welcome two of our brilliant Influencers, Phil and Rachael, to our Support Office.

Our Influencers are people we support who share their ideas, experiences and views to help shape what we do at Liaise.

Phil and Rachael joined us to talk about the importance of communication in supporting people to make their own choices and decisions. They shared how they prefer their keyworkers to communicate with them so they can fully understand what's being asked and make informed, free choices. We also discussed the importance of recognising non-verbal communication, as many people communicate through their behaviour, facial expressions, body language or assistive communication methods.

A huge thank you to Phil and Rachael for helping us continue to listen, learn and improve the support we provide.

This year, we're proud to celebrate an incredible milestone as Karen, our brilliant Home Manager at Bramshaw, marks 20 years with Liaise.

Since joining us in 2006, Karen has made a lasting difference to the lives of the people she supports, while building strong relationships with colleagues across the South East. Her dedication, kindness and unwavering commitment have helped make Bramshaw the welcoming and supportive home it is today.

Reflecting on her journey, Karen shared that what continues to inspire her most is the people she supports, who challenge her to keep learning, growing and striving to make a positive difference every day.

From organising memorable events to supporting colleagues to develop and succeed, Karen's impact over the past two decades has been truly remarkable.

Thank you, Karen, for everything you do. Congratulations on an amazing 20 years of service!

This week, we've launched our 2026 Impact Report – and we're especially proud that this year's report opens with the voices of the people at the heart of everything we do: our Liaise Influencers.

From achieving personal goals and growing in confidence to building independence, forming new friendships, and embracing new opportunities, our Influencers share the moments that have made the biggest difference to them over the last year.

Their stories offer an authentic and inspiring insight into life at Liaise, highlighting the impact of truly person-led support and the importance of listening to lived experience.

We believe the people we support should help shape the conversations that matter most. That's why it felt only right for our Influencers to introduce this year's report, reflecting on their achievements, experiences and aspirations in their own words.

To mark Co-production Week, we were pleased to welcome Rachael, one of our amazing Influencers, to our Support Office.

Rachael turned the spotlight onto our colleagues, asking them a simple but important question: "What does co-production mean to you?"

The responses sparked some fantastic conversations about the value of working in partnership, sharing ideas, and ensuring the voices of the people we support are at the centre of decision-making. It was a great opportunity to reflect on how co-production helps us create positive outcomes and shape the way we work together.

A huge thank you to Rachael for leading these discussions and encouraging colleagues to think about the impact of co-production in their roles.
