Hillingdon Shopmobility - local volunteer led charity providing a mobility equipment hire service in West London. Find us in The Chimes Shopping Centre.

Low cost manual wheelchairs, powered scooters and more. Available for all ages with limited mobility. Our friendly and helpful team of staff and volunteers will help you choose exactly the right equipment to suit your needs and abilities and provide you with tuition on using it safely and confidently. Based in the car park of “intu Uxbridge” shopping centre, we have 22 electric scooters, 6 powerchairs, 20 manual wheelchairs and a 4 wheeled walker with a seat. But thats not all! You can also borrow blankets and folding walking sticks. There’s more! You can even use our services when we are closed! There are special wheelchairs and small electric scooters available for holiday hire at a very reasonable charge. So go ahead and enjoy planning your next trip, either to Uxbridge town or farther afield. We are open Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.15am and 4.30pm (last hire 3.00pm)

We are also very happy to visit local groups and societies to give talks and demonstrations of the service.

Hillingdon’s Older People’s Assembly is an event for you to share and be heard!

Chaired by Hillingdon Council, the Assembly is bringing older people together to discuss issues that affect you, access information and give feedback on your experiences to help the council build a better community. Connect and discover the different services near you for guidance and support.

Hillingdon Shopmobility is honoured to be attending the upcoming Assembly for People with Disabilities and their Carers, organised by Hillingdon Council. We will be there to answer all of your questions about help and support for mobility needs.

This event is a great opportunity to use your voice and influence how the community can establish the best care for you or someone you know, whether it's transport, financial support or perhaps health services.

To those who want to travel with limited mobility… but don't know where to start.

You may feel anxious to go out because you worry about how others may perceive you. You’re hesitant to navigate public spaces due to inaccessibility. Or you wish to maintain social connections without the burden.
