Good news is almost anything can be undone in 2026. 🙃

Our medical-grade Pico laser breaks the ink into tiny particles your body clears away on its own, and it's safe for every skin type. Session count comes down mostly to size, so here's the breakdown:

Read prep point two again, because it doubles as the answer to when you should book.

Four weeks with no sun and no sunbeds before your first session. In June that is a genuine inconvenience. From September onwards it happens by itself, which is why autumn is when this treatment gets easy rather than merely possible.

The reason behind the rule is worth knowing. Laser finds hair by its pigment, and a tan puts extra pigment in the surface of your skin where it competes for that energy. Fake tan does the same thing, so it counts, and it needs to be fully gone rather than mostly faded.

Two more things the carousel does not have room for.

Stop waxing, plucking, threading and epilating for those same four weeks. All of them pull the hair out at the root, and the root is precisely what the laser is aiming at. Turn up having waxed and there is nothing there to treat. Shaving is fine, which is why prep point one exists.

Then there is the course itself. Most people need six to eight sessions spaced across several months, with treated skin staying out of strong sun throughout. Start in September and the bulk of it happens through the darker months, so by the time next summer arrives you are finished rather than halfway.

Your jawline softens for two separate reasons, and most people have a bit of both going on.

The first is the skin. Collagen thins and elasticity drops, so the skin along the jaw stops holding its position. The second is fat, which shifts and settles into the jowl instead of staying where it used to sit. Those are different problems needing different tools, which is why there are four treatments in this carousel rather than one.

Thermage works on the skin without going below it. Radiofrequency heats the deep collagen layers through the surface, so the skin tightens on the day and carries on building collagen for months afterwards. One session, and nothing to plan your week around.

Ultraformer III reaches deeper than the rest of them while still leaving the skin intact. Focused ultrasound targets the SMAS, the structural layer a surgeon lifts during a facelift, and tightens it from the outside. Results build across several months as new collagen forms.

Morpheus8 takes the needle route. Gold-tipped microneedles carry radiofrequency into the dermis and into the fat sitting under the jowl, so it firms the skin and works on what lies beneath it in the same pass. Expect a few days of mild redness.

Endolift is the most involved of the four. A laser fibre about the thickness of a hair goes under the skin using local anaesthetic, tightening on contact while reducing the fat that blurs the jaw. Most people are back to normal the next day.
