Fabnutrition.women Like many of us, I lead a busy life and never thought that menopause would actually catch up with me! How wrong was I?

Helping women navigate perimenopause, menopause, and beyond with personalised, evidence-based nutrition. ✨
I’m Fabiana Matos, Registered Nutritional Therapist & Menopause Specialist — here to help you feel energised, balanced, and thriving in midlife. 💛 From mood swings, weight gain, brain fog, which I considered ‘normal’ side effects of a demanding job, I suddenly found myself depressed and deali

ng with serious mental and hormonal issues. My intense research led me to the world of Functional Medicine, a holistic approach firmly grounded in scientific evidence, and my life took a very different turn. From an interest in understanding what was going on with me, I became fascinated with the science of nutrition and its complex role in our bodies and minds, and decided to change my career to become a Nutritional Therapist with the hope that I could help others to overcome this tough transition.

One of the things I hear most often from women is that they finally feel supported in a way that feels realistic.

And honestly, that means everything to me.

Because midlife wellbeing is rarely about doing things perfectly.

It’s about feeling heard, understood, and finding support that works in real life 💛

PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS - Reading about this shift honestly brought up a lot of reflection for me.

Not just professionally, but personally too.

The wider metabolic and endocrine impact on women’s health often felt overlooked. And it’s becoming increasingly clear that these hormonal and metabolic changes can continue to affect women well into perimenopause and menopause too.

I’m really glad to see this conversation evolving.

And I suspect many women living with this condition will feel the same 🧡

“Why am I so tired all the time?”

It’s one of the most common questions I hear from women in perimenopause and menopause — and it’s exactly what I’ve been writing about in a new piece for , published today ✨
Because this kind of tiredness isn’t always obvious at first.
It’s the small everyday signs:

- waking up feeling like you haven’t quite rested
- relying on coffee to get going
- losing energy and focus halfway through the afternoon

And eventually wondering:

“Is this just part of getting older?”

Midlife does bring change — but feeling constantly tired, flat, or not quite yourself isn’t something you simply have to accept.

What I see time and time again is this:
- it’s rarely just one thing.
- Not just hormones.
- Not just being busy.

It’s often how your body is managing energy day to day — especially during a stage of life where hormones, stress, sleep, and blood sugar can all start interacting differently.

This isn’t about willpower.

And it’s not about pushing harder.

Your body needs support, not pressure 🤍

I’m starting The FAB Energy Programme tomorrow.

It’s a small group, and I’ve kept it really simple — because that’s what most women actually need when it comes to their energy.

Less overwhelm.
More clarity.
More realistic ways of eating that actually fit into your life.

If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your moment to join, just message me and I’ll send you the details.

Many of the women I speak to don’t need more information.

They already know a lot about what they should be doing.

What they really need… is for things to feel simpler again.

Less overwhelming.
More realistic.
More supportive of where they are in life right now.

That’s a big part of why I do what I do.

Because when things feel simple again, everything starts to shift — your energy, your clarity, even how you feel in yourself.

And that changes everything.

If this resonates, you’re not alone 🤍 x

Many women I speak to in their 40s and 50s say something very similar.

They feel tired most of the time.
Their energy isn’t what it used to be.
They feel overwhelmed by nutrition advice.

They’ve tried different things…
cutting carbs, fasting, supplements…

But nothing seems to bring back the steady energy they remember having a few years ago.

If this sounds familiar, please know this is very common during perimenopause and menopause.

Your body is changing — and it needs a different kind of support.

That’s exactly why I created The FAB Energy Programme.

A small 4-week group programme where I guide women through simple, practical nutrition strategies designed specifically for midlife.

Because when your energy improves, everything else becomes easier.

The programme starts 24th March and places are limited.

If you’d like more information, send me a message and I’ll share the details.

Over the years, I’ve had the same conversation with many women in their 40s and 50s.

They tell me they feel constantly tired…
that their energy isn’t what it used to be…
and that nutrition suddenly feels confusing.

One article says eat more protein.
Another says avoid carbs.
Then there’s fasting, supplements, detoxes…

It’s no wonder so many women feel overwhelmed.

What I’ve learned through my work as a nutritional therapist is that most women don’t need complicated protocols.

They need simple food strategies that support their changing bodies.
Ways of eating that stabilise energy, reduce brain fog, and make cooking feel manageable again.

That’s exactly why I created The FAB Energy Programme.

small 4-week group programme where I guide women through practical nutrition strategies designed for midlife — without restriction, overwhelm, or complicated rules.

Over the past few months I’ve been reflecting on the conversations I keep hearing from women in midlife.

Women who feel overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice.

Women who used to feel energetic and capable, but now feel constantly tired, foggy, and unsure what their body actually needs.

Low carb.
High protein.
Fasting.
Cut this. Add that.

It’s exhausting.

This is exactly why I created The FAB Energy Programme.

A 4-week small group programme designed to help women simplify nutrition and rebuild steady physical and mental energy during perimenopause and menopause.

Inside the programme we focus on simple food strategies that fit real life — not restrictive diets or complicated protocols.

✨ Small group (6–8 women)

💻 Weekly live sessions
💷 £147 (2 instalments available)

If this resonates with you, send me a message and I’ll happily share the details.
