Objectives
• Create greater awareness of the Enneagram in th
e UK and Ireland, using web-based resources, Social Media and live events
• Enable wider participation in Enneagram learning and networking activities
• Run local Enneagram Alive groups across the UK and Ireland
• Operate a high quality website that provides a central one-stop shop for impartial and reliable Enneagram information: on quality learning opportunities, organisations, resources and practitioners in the UK and Ireland and on key international events.
• Provide a lively forum for Enneagram networking, dialogue and shared enthusiasm. Create spaces where enthusiasm for the Enneagram can grow.
• Help ensure a range of Enneagram provision to meet the needs of newcomers, professionals and those wanting to sustain and progress their interest.
• Support professional networks and communication among Enneagram providers. Enneagram Alive’s approach
• Collaborative, partnership-based, existing to serve the Enneagram and its growing community on a collective basis.
• Local groups operating independently yet collaboratively, encouraging Enneagram networking and learning, ideally from a range of providers in each area.
• A non-profit organisation, working with community-based aims in business-like and sustainable way. Values
• We know from experience that the Enneagram can change lives and communities. We want to spread the word because we’ve seen its positive impact in our own lives with friends and colleagues, families and businesses, in mindfulness and spiritual practice.
• ‘Our Enneagram Ethos’, positively framed, captures our values and commitment to good practice in Enneagram work. It was drawn up collaboratively and is actively used at Enneagram Alive events and operations. Our Enneagram Ethos and Ground Rules
• We commit to mindful conversation, as best we can, knowing Enneagram work goes deep. It touches our core identity and vulnerability as well as our strengths.
• The decision about which Type we are is ours alone. We may take advice, but no one else can determine our Type for us.
• If talking about your Type - or others' Type - we do so tentatively, in the spirit of humble inquiry.
• We are more than our Type and we acknowledge the fuller richness of each person's identity.
• The Enneagram is ancient wisdom yet an emerging field, so we tread gently and with respect.
• We talk about ideas, not individuals, and name our sources.
• We are welcoming and open-minded, appreciating there are many pathways, perspectives and opinions.
