Processed carbs (biscuits, sugary snacks, white bread):

- No fibre
- Easy to overeat
Whole foods (potatoes, fruit, vegetables):

Even within the same food, things change:
- Green banana: slow, gut-friendly resistant starch
- Ripe banana: quicker sugar release
Same food. Different effect.
What about potatoes?
Theyโ€™ve been unfairly blamed.
A boiled potato is NOT the same as fries.
In fact:
- Potatoes are one of the most filling foods
- Cooling them increases resistant starch
- They can help control appetite
The Missing Strategy: โ€œBridge Foodsโ€
Most people fail diets because the jump is too extreme.
Instead of: Junk food to strict restriction
Try: Junk food to fruit & potatoes to vegetables & protein
This reduces cravings, relapse and diet fatigue
What about fruit?

- Moderate: bananas

The real problem?
