Start off your Autumn with a great workshop for everyone interested in or practicing Adaptive Yoga. The Essence of Adaptive Yoga Poses on Saturday 1st October at the Westway Sport Centre in west London.
Your workshop leader is Karen Russell: she's trained with Matthew Sanford - founder of Adaptive Teacher training and the Adaptive Yoga movement, and with the best European Adaptive Yoga team at Stoke Mandeville (home of the Para Olympics). All through the pandemic Karen worked tirelessly in maintaining her regular Adaptive Yoga class on zoom, and live streaming for Adaptive Yoga Live. There is no one more enthusiastic for Adaptive Yoga and a great teacher.
The Westway Sport Centre hosted the first UK Adaptive Yoga class, which is still running and we hope that some of the very experienced Adaptive Yogis from that class will be there on the day too.
Expect to have your expectations of yoga upended, expanded and uplifted. Karen will examine some of the core yoga poses to show that 'while yoga poses discriminate, yoga does not discriminate' (Matthew Sanford).
