Yesterday, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis launched its new report on endometriosis in the workplace at an event in UK Parliament.
It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout for the launch, with contributions from Kirsteen Sullivan MP, Women’s Employment Ambassador Mariella Frostrup, and workplace representatives Bethan Grinham, Rachel Hughes and Sanchia Alasia.

We want to say thank you to everyone who supported the inquiry including those who gave evidence, contacted your MP to attend the launch event or amplified our message online. Many MPs at the launch told us they attended because they were contacted by constituents affected by endometriosis, which shows the power of campaigning and impact of contacting your MP.

The report’s launch is not the end of the conversation and we must continue campaigning so the Government can turn these recommendations into action. That’s why we have created a template letter for you to email your MP to ask them to contact the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

The evidence is clear. The Government, and employers, must act now to ensure those with endometriosis do not risk unfairly having to leave the workplace due to a lack of support, understanding and workplace adjustments.

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis have today launched new report, 'Endometriosis (Not) in the Workplace'. The report's findings show that we are not only losing talent in the workforce, but leaving those with endometriosis facing lost income, financial insecurity and additional financial burden.

This isn't good enough. The Government must ensure employers have the support, guidance, and information they need so that nobody is forced out of work because of unfair practices.

The report will launch in Parliament today. The evidence is clear, the case for change is clear. Now we need action.

"As a webchat volunteer, I hear firsthand the confusion, pain, and isolation that so often accompany a diagnosis, or the exhausting wait for one. While I haven't personally used the nurse helpline, recommending it is one of the most vital tools in my volunteer toolkit."

Will you donate today to help us to expand our nurse helpline?

It’s day two of our Big Give Women & Girls match fund campaign and we couldn’t be more grateful to all those who have donated so far. We have a long way to go to meet our ambitious target and we need all the help we can get.

Between 6-13 October, through our Big Give campaign page will be matched by the Women & Girls match fund. If we unlock our full match pot of £25,000 in donations this week, we’ll receive £50,000 to help increase capacity our nurse support helpline.⁠

What does this mean for our community?

We will increase capacity on our nurse helpline, meaning more booking slots available, including more evening availability. We will also introduce monthly expert support days, with a physiotherapist, psychotherapist, and dietitian each responding to calls and emails and delivering webinars, to be shared live and on YouTube, so you can access quality information in your own time.

For those living with endometriosis, finding trusted information and specialist support can be difficult. Every day, Endometriosis UK hears from those who feel isolated, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn.

Our Nurse Support Line is a vital lifeline, offering trusted information and specialist support when it is needed most. But demand is growing, and we need greater nursing capacity to ensure that everyone who contacts us can access that support.

That’s why, through this year’s Big Give, we’re raising the funds needed to expand this service and provide more support to those who need it.

For one week only, between 6-13 October, donations made to Endometriosis UK through our Big Give campaign page will be matched by the Women & Girls match fund up to a total of £25,000.
