Been meaning to post this for a while now. Closing down SL Oils was a tough decision, but a few months on and it was definitely the right decision. What an epic adventure it was for 5 years as an official brand, I met so many amazing people, and am grateful for every moment. I'm still figuring out what's next. But suffice it to say, I feel relieved and free; running a skincare business is hard! Kudos to all the indie beauty brands out there, you are an inspiration ❤️.

I'm feeling quite proud of our collective achievement to help small business owners in low income countries. I made our 173rd micro-loan today, helping these women to grow their businesses and support their families, and in turn their communities, with dignity. After closes, I plan to continue with the micro-loans as loans are repaid, so the funds we have raised between us over the years are put to good use. It really has been the most amazing journey and I have so much to be thankful for... you, my customers, my stockists, everyone I have come into contact with through the brand, everything I have learnt about you, about myself, and about running an indie skincare brand. I have a lot of achievements to celebrate which I will do over time, as I wrap things up. I'll be posting on here occasionally just because I need to remind myself of all the wonderful reasons why I loved SOFIA LATIF® • VEGAN SKINCARE] ❤️
