🎉 We’re excited to be heading back to Volfest in Chelmsford High Street next week!

After last year’s very memorable weather (we’re sure everyone remembers the rain ☔️😅), we’re really hoping for a bit more sunshine this time around.

We’re looking forward to another brilliant day celebrating volunteers and connecting with the local community.

Our CEO and Senior Music Therapist Amelia, along with Admin Assistant Annabel, will be there to chat all things Ace Music Therapy, share more about what we do, and talk about the volunteering opportunities available within our team.

Whether you’d like to find out more about music therapy, ask questions about our work, or are interested in signing up to volunteer with Ace, we’d love to see you there.

Come and say hello if you’re in Chelmsford High Street, we can’t wait to meet you!🎶

Hosted by Amelia, Founder, CEO and Senior Music Therapist at Ace Music Therapy CIC.

📅 Wednesday 17th June
🕜 1:30pm to 2:15pm

🎶 Transforming lives through music: Reflections of a Music Therapist for Mental Health Awareness Week 🧠

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we are beginning with a reflection on the importance of creating safe spaces where children and young people feel seen, heard, and supported. 💚

Music therapy can offer a different way to communicate when words feel difficult. Through music, children can explore emotions, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and experience connection in a way that feels natural to them.

In this blog, our founder Amelia Clapham shares her reflections on the transformative impact music therapy can have on mental health and emotional wellbeing, and why creative therapeutic spaces matter so deeply.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is Action. Sometimes action begins with listening, creating space, and meeting a child where they are.

On this we are delighted to share that once again we have been listed in the Nat West SE100 index.

The Index recognises the UK's top 100 most impressive and inspiring social businesses, based on their impact, growth and achievements over the past year.

This is the 3rd consecutive year we have been awarded this and we are very proud.

Some conversations are really hard to start.

This Dying Matters Awareness Week, we’re focusing on how we can support people to talk about death and dying in a way that feels safe and manageable.

In this clip, our CEO and Senior Music Therapist Amelia shares how we work alongside individuals, professionals and families to navigate those difficult conversations, both before and after bereavement.

Through music therapy, we can support people to express thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words, create space for connection, and hold meaningful moments together.

Whether it’s preparing for what’s ahead or making sense of a loss, we’re here to support in a way that feels human, compassionate and led by each person’s needs.

If you, or someone you know, would benefit from our support - please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ✉️

This Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week we are shining a spotlight on our mum and baby group Wiggles and Jiggles.

Wiggles and Jiggles is our specialist mum‑and‑baby group, co‑designed by a **HCPC‑registered music therapist** and a **paediatric physiotherapist** - both mums themselves, who saw the need for a space where *live music*, *baby development*, and *maternal wellbeing* come together.

✨ Evidence‑based support for maternal mental health
✨ Developmentally informed movement + live music
✨ Specialist clinical design
✨ Real impact - outcomes stars show meaningful improvements in **health & wellbeing** and **connecting with your baby**
✨ Real voices - powerful testimonials from mums who’ve attended

Thanks to continued support from the **National Lottery Community Fund**, we’re able to offer these sessions **free of charge**, removing barriers for families who need them most.

Know someone who would benefit — or maybe that someone is you? New term dates are coming soon. Keep an eye on our socials 💛
