This powerful session explored the role of nurse hysteroscopists as leaders and innovators, recognising the women and women of colour who have driven meaningful change across health and social care. From tackling long waiting lists to addressing pain and patient anxiety, the message was clear: representation and innovation are not optional, they are essential.

We were also proud to celebrate excellence through our first Nurse Hysteroscopists Innovation Award, big thank you to Karl Storz for providing the Golden hysteroscope to our winner:
🥇 First place: Suzanne Taylor
🥈 Second place: Irina Stankeviciute

A reminder of the talent, dedication, and forward-thinking shaping the future of gynaecological care.

In this session, Mahshid Nickkho-Amiry and Irina Stankeviciute challenged us to rethink how we approach care. For too long, the focus has been on the procedure. Now, the shift is clear. It is about the person behind it.

From understanding what pain actually feels like for patients, to recognising and respecting anxiety, the message was simple. Empathy matters. Listening matters. And dismissing concerns is no longer acceptable.

A powerful reminder that better outcomes start with better experiences.
