It’s been a while since I updated
I’m still working away behind the scenes, but I’m in the middle of a few important changes, so I am allocating a few months to that and prioritising not overloading myself
This update comes in the way of reflection (something I seem to do a lot of these days) , and I would love for you to take a couple of minutes out to have a read.
Perhaps some of it may resonate ………
Life evolves in ways you never quite expect, and looking back sometimes feels like flipping through chapters you didn’t realise you were writing at the time.
Your teens felt like the whole world was pressing down on your shoulders, yet somehow that was the purest, truest form of freedom you ever had. No masks, no expectations, just raw feeling and the sense that anything was possible.
Your twenties were all about proving yourself. Trying to show the world what you could do, even though you didn’t fully understand what “success” actually meant. Chasing the highs, thinking happiness was tied to things you could buy or achieve, pushing every limit just to see where the edge really was.
Your thirties were the years when real life arrived with weight. Sacrifice stopped being an idea and became something you lived. Loss became part of the story. Responsibilities started stacking higher than any selfish want. Those years taught you the true value of the people who show up, the ones who stay, the ones who matter more than anything you thought was important before.
And now, the forties. Learning how to find peace instead of noise. Learning how to love without fear or pride. Realising you spent years not liking yourself, and finally understanding not just who you are, but how much you mean to the people around you. Feeling things more deeply, more honestly. Wanting the best for the people you care about, without feeling the need to prove anything anymore. Knowing that life can get better, even after the chapters that nearly broke you, and recognising how much your actions shape the lives around you.
And as for what comes next—no one knows. The world, the internet, everything around us keeps trying to tell us what we should want, who we should be, what we should have achieved by now. But the older you get, the more you realise the only aim that matters is living in a way that feels real. Being true to who you are, choosing happiness over emptiness, and letting life unfold without pretending you have to keep up with anything except your own sense of meaning.
Be true to that little person that once upon a time had a head full of dreams, yet no clue what the world had in store
