Hot weather can leave us feeling tired, dehydrated, heavy, restless, or simply out of balance ☀️

During warmer days, our bodies work harder to regulate temperature, which can affect energy levels, sleep, circulation, and overall wellbeing. That’s why gentle self-care becomes even more important.

Here are a few simple reflexology-inspired wellbeing tips for hot weather:

💧 Stay hydrated
Drinking enough water supports circulation, energy, and helps the body stay balanced — especially after a reflexology session.

🦶 Elevate and rest tired feet
A few quiet minutes with your feet up can help ease heaviness and support relaxation.

🌿 Try hand or foot reflexology
Working reflex points linked to the head, sinuses, solar plexus, or lymphatic system may help the body relax and unwind.

😴 Slow down when needed
Heat can be draining for the nervous system. Rest is productive too.

✨ Listen to your body
Sometimes the body asks for hydration, stillness, better sleep, or simply time to reset.

Reflexology is not about “fixing” the body — it’s about supporting balance, relaxation, and wellbeing in a gentle, holistic way.

If you’d like to experience a calming reflexology treatment this summer, I’m available for bookings.

There are so many misconceptions about reflexology, so I wanted to share a few gentle “myth vs fact” reminders 🌿
Reflexology is much more than just a foot massage — it’s a structured complementary therapy focused on supporting relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.
Every client is different, and every session is tailored with care 🤍

Today I spent a lovely moment in the garden, enjoying the sunshine and reading a fascinating book "The Foot Reading Coach".

In reflexology, we believe that the feet can reflect aspects of our wellbeing, emotions, and even parts of our personality. These can sometimes be observed through the shape of the feet, texture, and small imperfections.

An experienced reflexologist may notice where there could be areas of imbalance — not only in physical wellbeing, but also in emotional life, relationships, and how we move through different experiences.

As Jane Sheehan, a skilled foot reader, beautifully says:
“Foot reading is not fortune telling — it is about understanding the impact of emotions and personality, not predicting the future.”

I find this perspective so interesting and meaningful as part of continuing to learn and deepen my practice 🤍

I’m very happy to share that I’ll be starting volunteering at UCLH from next week, offering reflexology sessions to patients and staff 🤍

This is something I’ve been looking forward to for a while — to be able to support people in a hospital setting through calm, gentle therapy feels very meaningful to me.

At the same time, it’s also part of my own journey. This opportunity means a lot — not only to give, but also to continue developing professionally and with care.

Reflexology can offer a moment of relaxation, comfort, and support during what can sometimes be a challenging time, and I feel truly grateful to be able to share that.

Looking forward to this new chapter :)

🌿 Hand Reflexology for Hay Fever Support 🌿

Spring is such a beautiful season, but for many it also brings hay fever symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and sinus discomfort.

Reflexology doesn’t cure hay fever, but it can gently support the body’s natural balance, calm the nervous system, and help ease some of these symptoms.

You can try this simple hand reflexology routine at home:

👉 Work first on the RIGHT hand, then repeat the same routine on the LEFT hand.
👉 Use gentle pressure with your thumb (thumb walking technique)

Routine:
1. Sinus reflex (fingertips).
Work on all fingertips by gently pressing or rolling with the thumb — this helps support sinus areas and may ease congestion.

2. Neck reflex.
Use thumb walking along the base of the thumb, working across the area x 3 times.

3. Head/Face reflex.
Continue thumb walking from the middle of the thumb towards the tip, x 3 times.

4. Lung/Chest reflex.
Located in the upper palm area. Use thumb walking or gentle circular movements across the area.

5. Adrenal reflex.
Located between the thumb and second finger (in the palm). Apply gentle pressure and use circular movements x 3 times.

6. Lymphatic reflex (back of the hand).
Work between the fingers and towards the wrist area. Walk down each space x 3 times to support lymphatic flow.

🌸 Additional gentle support during hay fever season:

• Stay well hydrated
• Spend time outdoors when pollen levels are lower (early morning or evening)
• Wash your face and hands after being outside
• Keep windows closed during high pollen times
• Prioritise rest and good sleep
• Gentle breathing exercises can help calm the body.

Reflexology is a beautiful way to support your body during seasonal changes — helping you feel calmer, clearer, and more balanced from within 🌿

If you’d like deeper support, I’m here 🤍

On my way to work today, I couldn’t just walk past this without stopping 🌸✨

There’s something about spring…
the blossoms, the light, the colours, the soft sweet scent in the air — it feels like everything is gently come back to life.

After the slower, quieter winter months, this season feels more like an awakening. A reminder to step outside, breathe deeper, notice more, and allow a little more joy into our days.

I stood there for a moment just looking up, taking it all in — and it felt so uplifting.

Sometimes self-care isn’t about slowing down completely…
sometimes it’s about reconnecting with life, with energy, with the simple beauty around us.

Reflexology can support that too — helping the body feel lighter, more balanced, and in tune as we move into this new season 🌿

If you feel like giving yourself that time and space, I’m here 🤍

Easter Reflexology Availability 🌿🐣

I will be available for reflexology bookings during the Easter holidays, except Easter Sunday (5th April). If you are staying in London over the holidays, it could be a lovely time to slow down, rest, and take care of your wellbeing.

Easter holidays are a perfect time to reset the body and mind — reflexology can help with relaxation, stress relief, better sleep, digestion (especially after all the Easter chocolate!), circulation, and overall balance.

Instead of only busy days and big meals, remember to also give your body some time to rest, walk outside, breathe fresh air, and recharge. Reflexology can be a beautiful part of your self-care during the holidays.

If you would like to book a session during the Easter period, feel free to message me 🤍

Hand Reflexology for Shoulder Tension & Pain 🤲

Shoulder and neck tension is something many of us experience — especially if we work at a desk, use phones a lot, drive often, or carry stress in our shoulders. In reflexology, we can work shoulder, neck and spine reflexes on the hands as well as the feet, which makes this a great self-care routine you can do at home.

How to practise:
Work first on the RIGHT hand, then repeat the same routine on the LEFT hand using the thumb walking technique.

Routine:

Spine reflex – walk down and up along the side of the thumb 3 times.
Shoulder line reflex – walk across the shoulder line on the front and back of the hand 3 times each side.
Shoulder reflex – walk down and along the sides 3 times on both front and back of the hand.
Neck reflex – walk sideways 3 times on both front and back of the hand.

You can do this daily, especially if you feel shoulder tightness or neck stiffness.

Also remember, shoulder tension is often related to daily habits, so try to:

Check your posture — keep shoulders relaxed and not lifted.
Take breaks from screens and stretch your neck and shoulders.
Do gentle shoulder rolls and neck stretches daily.
Stay hydrated — muscles hold tension more when dehydrated.
Practice deep breathing to relax the nervous system.
Make time for rest and relaxation.

Reflexology, stretching, good posture and rest together can really help reduce shoulder and neck tension over time 🤍
