👣How can reflexology support fertility and reproductive health?

Reflexology can help by reducing stress: Chronic stress can affect hormones, menstrual cycles and sleep. Reflexology puts the body into a relaxed state, helping the nervous system and bringing down cortisol levels.
Improving circulation: This can encourage blood flow to the reproductive organs.
Hormone balance support: I help the endocrine system, including the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal glands, ovaries and uterus. Linking organs together so they can all connect well.
Menstrual cycle support: Reflexology can support painful and irregular periods, endometriosis, PCOS.
Complimenting fertility support: Reflexology can help alongside IVF before egg collection and preparing for transfer. I can help to reduce stress, work your lymphatic system to reduce symptoms from all the medication, so you can detox quicker. Bring blood flow to the uterus before and after transfer.

👣Does reflexology help pregnancy symptoms e.g back pain, nausea and swelling?

Yes! Reflexology can encourage relaxation to reduce muscle tension.
Reflexology can improve circulation and work the lymphatic system which reduces swelling quite significantly. This takes away the fluid retention in your body and all the heavy feeling that you may have. I can help the digestive system which can help improve nausea, bloating and constipation. Sleep can also be an issue and because I work the nervous system this can help stress and sleep issues.

👣Can reflexology help the body prepare for natural labour and for birth?

Yes! Reflexology during pregnancy and especially from 37 weeks can help prepare your body for labour. I can stimulate the pituitary gland which releases oxytocin to help the uterus to contract. There is no guarantee but if your baby is ready it is more likely to work. Having a reflexology treatment once a week from 37 weeks to helps this be successful. It is super relaxing and helps all those ailments at the end of your pregnancy.

The term “Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome” (PCOS) has now been replaced by “Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome” (PMOS). CDS has been critical of the term PCOS for many decades, considering it misleading and this has resulted in significant misdiagnosis of the condition. This has particularly occurred from inappropriate use of ultrasound scanning in many clinics. PMOS is a hormonal problem and does not involve the presence of abnormal ovarian cysts!
There are varying degrees of PMOS. However CDS has helped many patients to conceive naturally even with the condition. CDS recognises patients who might require an appropriate blood test in order to confirm or exclude PMOS. Detailed cycle monitoring has proved of considerable value in assessing these patients and achieving successful pregnancy.

The lining of the uterine (womb) cavity is called the endometrium. The menstrual period which occurs each month is shedding of the endometrium. Endometriosis is a condition where the same cells as found in the endometrium occur elsewhere in the body. The most common sites where endometriosis is found are within the pelvis (pelvic endometriosis) or the wall of the uterus (adenomyosis).

Other symptoms may include general pelvic discomfort and especially abdominal bloatedness, lower back pain, breast sensitivity and occasionally associated with menstrual issues. Less frequent gynaecological findings might include uterine (womb) problems, different types of ovarian cysts, infection or endometriosis.

Abnormal ovarian activity as described above can mimic endometriosis which evidence shows is often 'over-diagnosed', although care has to be taken to exclude this particular disorder.
