1 year sober today! There are many people including my close friends that wouldn’t have thought it but I’m here today one year sober and proud.

How am I feeling on it? Amazing, loosing the anxiety and guilt that comes with drink and drugs has been an incredible experience and finding my true self.

Knocking the drink and drugs on the head was the easy part for me once I got my ADHD diagnosis, I then realised drink and drugs was never going to make me feel any better!

The people that have hurt me the most out of all this is what drives me every day to prove them wrong, and keep showing up for myself! I’m still coming!!

I just wish I had that diagnosis years ago to set me up on a better and easier path for myself. Crying time is over , still work to do!

Year two let’s have ya! 👊

The ADHD Crashes!

It’s like our brains and body suddenly hit a wall. We get physically exhausted, drained, and completely lose the ability to motivate ourselves even for things we know we need or want to do. Some call it a “super power” having ADHD , this is one of the downsides of ADHD that I experience daily!

Elvanse medication update will be coming next weekend when I move up from 30mg to 50mg - hopefully it will stop these crashes… 🎗️🙏

Keeping commitments and staying focused a struggle?…. 🤔

ADHD update - Medication day 1! - It’s been a long year waiting for this moment but I took my first tablet this morning. ( Elvanse 30MG) with a protein drink and a protein yogurt.

How do I feel- A bit disappointed I thought it would have had much more of an impact, I was told it starts to work in 45minutes to an hour. Impact meaning slowing things down much more than what I’ve experienced.

- It’s slowed my racing mind down ever so slightly but far from what I believe it should be at, still over thinking far too much though for my liking.

- I’m still irritable but it’s ever so slightly improved.

- Lost my appetite completely but I’ve been told this is normal and it will return so we will wait and see.

- Slightly raised temperature and heart rate, but once again I’ve been this is normal.

Summery after day 1 - Still hopeful as I’ve seen slight improvement, so we keep going for now.

2 weeks of Elvanse 30MG dosage then after 2 weeks move up to 50MG.

I will be posting weekly updates and my changes in stats , and updates on any effects and progress along the way. 🎗️

Some safety advice and camera tips when viewing tonight’s Solar Eclipse 👀 📱 🎗️

Never look directly at the Sun without certified eclipse glasses, as it can permanently damage your eyes.

If filming with an iPhone, use a proper solar protection filter or film the eclipse with the front facing selfie camera not looking directly at the sun.

Avoid pointing the camera directly at the sun for long periods, as intense sunlight can also damage the camera lens : sensor.

The safest option is to film the surroundings and enjoy the eclipse through certified glasses. 👓 🌄

Tip - To get a great picture, zoom in on the sun, press and and hold finger on the sun on your screen to activate auto focus (AF lock) will appear then turn down your phone’s exposure by slowly pulling down the sun icon next to AF lock for the best pictures.

Enjoy 😎
