I know there are women out there eating well.

Having home cooked meals, barely touching any processed foods
and still looking in the mirror like…

why is my stomach still doing THIS? 😩

That was my client.

She’s a mum of four. Runs her own business.

Genuinely eating well. But her stomach wasn’t shifting and she was fed up.

So like any woman who joins the Circle, we did her Nutrition Blind Spot Audit…

We ran it for 7 days… everything she ate, every time she ate it.

And I found it straight away.

No protein at breakfast.

And then sometimes 7, 8 hours before her next meal.

That’s it. That was the thing.

So we made two very simple changes.

3 weeks later and look at her stomach, it’s visibly flatter, the bloating has gone and her waist is actually starting to show.

Scale weight is trending downwards too and we haven’t even got to calories yet 👀

Toning isn’t a thing ladies 👀

What you’re really after is muscle with low enough body fat to actually reveal it.

You can train all day long.

But if you’ve got too much body fat covering the muscle that’s already there, you’re not going to see the definition.

On the flip side...

No amount of dieting is going to give you a sculpted, athletic look if there isn’t enough muscle underneath.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝘂𝗺𝗽 📸

May’s been a good one.

Gym’s been consistent, as always.

Had some banging Thursday sessions with Got me to 100kg on the squat machine… say whhhhhattt 😝

Also had a wicked leg session with . Long overdue.

Little M went camping for 5 days. I loved the extra freedom but missed him like mad.

Then he came back. Straight into half term. Last week was full on… family, friends, school runs, and supporting the ladies inside the Denim Jeans Blueprint 🔥

Had a couple of nights out too. Bank Holiday was a whole vibe 🖤

May’s been full of the things that matter most to me. Time with people I love. Banging gym sessions. Building something I’m really proud of with the women inside the Circle.

I even managed to squeeze in some rest too 😅

That’s all I need. 💜

Oh my gosh... it’s been 4 years since I walked off the gym floor to start my online coaching business.

FOUR friggin’ years which is crazy because I remember it like it was yesterday.

At the time, I genuinely wasn’t thinking about building some huge business.

I wasn’t thinking about launches, building a community of women on a similar journey, or any of that.

My relationship with the father of my boys had run its course. I loved my job at the gym, but I just needed to know that if it was ever just me and my boys, we’d be okay.

That was it.

I remember constantly thinking...

“What if this all goes wrong?”
“What if s**t hits the fan?”
“What if I have to ask for my job back?”

Which, at the time, felt like the most embarrassing thing imaginable 😂

But looking back, what surprises me most is that leaving wasn’t actually the hard part.

The hard part was building.

Building a business.
Building my confidence.
Building trust in myself.
Building a life that felt like mine.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the last 4 years is that you don’t suddenly wake up feeling ready to do the damn thing.

You don’t get given certainty.
You don’t get handed confidence.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁.

And most of the time, that happens while you’re doing the exact thing that’s scaring the s**t out of you.

And that’s why I love the women in The Circle so much.

Because I see it happen all the time.

Women waiting until they feel more confident.

More ready.
More sure.

When actually, becoming that woman happens because you decided to move before you felt any of those things.

Anyway...

Here’s to 4 years of backing myself.

And here’s to every woman currently standing at her own turning point, wondering if she can do it too 💜

I’m gonna tell you girl... Yes you can.

There’s a whole lot of wonderfulness waiting for you on the other side of that decision.

And if s**t hits the fan…

You pivot.
You adapt.
You figure it out.

And if I was talking to the version of me from four years ago…

I found this photo in my camera roll yesterday and I wasn’t going to post it.

But it reminded me of one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on this journey.

So many women are doing exactly what I was doing and wondering why their body isn’t changing.

This is your reminder that fat loss and body recomp are not the same goal. 💜
