Real experience. Real tools. Real healing.

For years, many people with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue were dismissed as “just anxious” or “just depressed.”

But we now know serotonin is involved in much more than mood.

It influences pain signalling, sleep, fatigue, nervous system regulation, inflammation and sensory processing — which is why researchers continue exploring its role in fibromyalgia and ME/CFS.

That doesn’t mean fibro is “all psychological.”
It means the brain, nervous system, immune system and body are deeply connected.

And healing often involves supporting ALL of them gently 🤍

HASHTAGS:

New research is showing stronger links between fibromyalgia, the immune system, inflammation, and nervous system dysfunction.

For many people, symptoms began after:
• surgery
• a virus
• a car accident
• trauma or chronic stress

A major study from King’s College London (Goebel et al., 2021) found that antibodies from fibromyalgia patients triggered pain symptoms in mice — suggesting the immune system may play a much bigger role than previously believed.

This is why fibromyalgia is so much more than “just pain.”

Your symptoms are real 🤍

A new fibromyalgia drug called Tonmya has just been approved—the first new option in over 15 years.

That’s hopeful. But also… let’s stay grounded.

Because real healing is rarely just one pill.

For many people, improvement comes from supporting the nervous system, sleep, inflammation, and energy—together.

This is just one tool. Not the whole toolbox.

Have you heard about this yet? Would you try it?

A lot of people think fatigue is just physical…

But for many people with chronic fatigue & fibromyalgia,
it’s deeply connected to the nervous system.

When your body is stuck in fight/flight or freeze:

– energy drops
– inflammation rises
– sensitivity increases
– recovery slows

Your body isn’t failing you…
it’s protecting you.

Healing starts with helping your system feel safe again 🤍

“You don’t look sick”
is something so many people hear…

But what people don’t see is:

– the constant energy management
– the internal battle
– the invisible symptoms
– the strength it takes just to get through the day

Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia don’t always show on the outside…
but they affect everything.

If you’re living this — I see you 🤍

One of the most confusing parts of chronic fatigue & fibromyalgia is this:

You can do something small…
And feel completely wiped out after.

Not just tired —
But heavy, foggy, inflamed, and sometimes even flu-like.

This is called post-exertional malaise (PEM)
And it’s not weakness.

It’s your body saying:
“I don’t have the energy capacity for this right now.”

What most people don’t realise is that exertion isn’t just physical.

It includes:
• Thinking
• Talking
• Stress
• Sensory input (noise, lights, crowds)
• Emotional processing

So yes — even a conversation can cause a crash.

💡 The shift that changes everything:
Instead of asking
“What should I be able to do?”

Start asking
“What can my body safely handle today?”

That’s where healing begins.

If this resonates, my Chronic Fatigue Handbook goes deep into pacing, energy mapping, and preventing crashes 🤍

Fibromyalgia isn’t just “pain.”

It’s a full-body experience that most people don’t see.

✨ It can feel like:

• Deep, aching muscles that never fully relax
• Burning or tingling sensations
• Extreme fatigue (even after resting)
• Brain fog and memory issues
• Sensitivity to noise, light, touch, or stress
• Poor sleep that never feels restorative
• Random flare-ups with no obvious cause

And one of the hardest parts?

Trying to explain it to people who only see you on your “okay” days.

Fibromyalgia is not just physical…
it’s neurological, hormonal, and deeply connected to the nervous system.

You’re not overreacting.
You’re not imagining it.
And you’re definitely not alone 🤍

Chronic fatigue myths that are keeping you stuck

There’s a lot of advice out there about chronic fatigue…

And honestly?
Some of it is making people worse.

Let’s clear a few things up 👇

❌ Myth 1: “You just need to push through”
→ This leads to crashes and burnout
✔️ Truth: Healing comes from pacing, not pushing

❌ Myth 2: “You’re just unfit”
→ This creates shame and overexertion
✔️ Truth: This is a nervous system + cellular energy issue

❌ Myth 3: “Rest more and you’ll fix it”
→ Sounds logical, but incomplete
✔️ Truth: You need intentional rest + regulation + support

❌ Myth 4: “It’s all in your head”
→ This one does real harm
✔️ Truth: Your symptoms are real, physiological, and valid

❌ Myth 5: “If you feel better, do more”
→ This keeps you in the crash cycle
✔️ Truth: Good days require more awareness, not more output

✨ The biggest shift?

Understanding your body — not fighting it.

This is exactly what I break down step-by-step in my handbook 🌿

Most crashes don’t come out of nowhere…

Your body always gives warning signs first.

The problem?
Most people have been taught to ignore them.

🚨 Early signs you’re heading for a crash:

• Your breath becomes shallow
• You feel slightly wired or overstimulated
• Your vision feels “tired” or unfocused
• Noise starts to feel overwhelming
• Your body feels tight or tense
• You feel a sudden drop in patience
• Your thoughts feel scattered or foggy

These are yellow zone signals —
not “push through” signals.

✨ This is your moment to change the outcome.

If you stop here…
you can often prevent the crash completely.

If you push past this…
your body will force you to stop later.

💡 The shift:
Start treating early discomfort as a cue to rest — not a challenge to overcome.

This one change can completely break the crash cycle 🤍
