Many people are told their blood tests are “normal” simply because their haemoglobin is within range. But haemoglobin only tells part of the story.

Ferritin measures your body’s iron stores, and these levels can fall long before anaemia develops. That means you could be experiencing symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, breathlessness or hair shedding while still being told everything is “fine”.

Iron deficiency without anaemia is real, common, and often overlooked.

If you’ve been struggling with symptoms but your tests were labelled normal, it may be worth looking deeper into your iron levels.
