How do I engrave mirrors?
Let’s start with the real basics 👇

SAFETY FIRST (please don’t skip this):
• Well-ventilated space — the dust is minor, but lungs are important
• Wear a mask (especially if you have respiratory issues)
• Gloves help A LOT — chemicals + dust = irritated hands
• Don’t rush. Ever. That’s how mistakes and accidents happen

CHOOSING A MIRROR:
I source mine from Facebook Marketplace, eBay, charity shops, emporiums — even friends & family

✨ Bonus tip: search wealthier towns/villages for stunning vintage mirrors (but expect £100+ for quality pieces)

ROTARY TOOL:
Wireless rotary tool from Amazon
• I own two to rotate batteries
• Diamond spherical bits only (but experiment!)

STENCILS:
Thermal stencil printer + tattoo studio paper
For touch-ups: liquid window chalk markers
✔ Wipeable
✖ Never permanent (huge no-no)
Perfect for practice mirrors

ENGRAVING:
Light pressure. Steady hand.
Let the tool do the work — pushing harder won’t help
Once it’s marked, there’s no undo
I have an advantage from tattooing, but anyone can learn this
