It has been a while so I thought I would check in with you all and give you a little update on what has been going onβ¦
Two years ago, after studying for four years, I graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree. Due to a change in family circumstances, the idea was to get my degree and start my teacher training. But my heart was not in teaching. I didnβt even feel overly proud of my degree result. My passion for as long as I can remember has been in wellbeing and I couldnβt see how that and teaching could be intertwined
It has been 14 months since πΊπππππ πΊπππ was born. In that time, I have given treatments to friends, family and clients. I have given treatments to people who have experienced energy healing and to those who havenβt. I started hosting π¨ πΊππππππππ ππ πΊππππππππ & πΊππππ
once a month, which I absolutely loved. I had the opportunity to provide treatments at Libra Beauty. I held stalls at various venues and ran competitions. And I have loved every minute of it
But setting up a business from scratch is difficult and takes time. Unfortunately, time is of the essence and this has led to my path going on a little detour
About 4 months ago, I was talking to a Year 6 pupil and they made a comment about the kind of teacher I would be and the effect I would have. I have had colleagues, friends and family tell me that I would make an amazing teacher. Cue imposter syndrome and all the thoughts that they do not know what theyβre talking about. But that one comment from that one student changed something. I donβt know how and I donβt know why. Maybe my path was always meant to go in this direction
So, in May, I spoke with my headteacher about starting my teacher training. I am not going to lieβ¦ it has been an intense 4 months. Iβve had to start back at uni. Iβve travelled to Cambridge for a regional gathering. Iβve spent a week at a different school in Enfield. And I have been to Newcastle for 4 days to attend a national gathering, which meant I missed the end of the school year...
