SIMPLE SWAP -
Although I only drink my children are harder to persuade 🙄 so to reduce my plastic footprint I have switched over from shop bought plastic bottled milk, to milkman delivered glass bottled milk from
Reasons being :
Glass is a fully sustainable and recyclable resource which provides fantastic environmental benefits like, longer life cycle, lower carbon footprint and is made of abundant raw materials.
Also glass bottles are better for overall health as plastic bottles/packaging have harmful chemicals leaching into the produce that we are unknowingly swallowing and ingesting.
🌟 Better still, switching to a plant based alternative - which is not only very nutritious but also has a much lower environmental impact in compassion to cows milk.
The production of oat milk leads to 80% less greenhouse emissions and uses 60% less energy.
Making oat milk also uses 10x less water than cows milk 🙌
