Happy Sunday 🐝

Watching the bees on the allotment this afternoon and loving this weather and the feeling of energy at the height of summer.

There are three generations of beekeepers in my family and we used to have bee hives on the allotment too.

Not a hobby I've had time for...yet.

🌹 Herb School – August Gathering 🌹

Join me on Thursday 20th August at The Snowgoose in Macclesfield for a cosy evening exploring the magic of summer herbs, with Rose taking centre stage.

Together we’ll make:
✨ a nourishing Rose balm
✨ a fragrant Rose body scrub
✨ a botanical facial steam

Think of it as a grown-up potion-making evening — hands in the herbs, cups of tea on the table, and plenty of time to learn, chat and connect.

Come on your own or bring a friend; Herb School is always a welcoming space for curious, nature-loving people.

Herb School for August - diving into Rose with a Rose balm, body scrub and facial steam.

Join me and enjoy the nostalgia of making 'potions' in a fun and relaxed environment, learning about herbs in community around the table.

Make new connections, come on your own or with a friend and gather upstairs at The Snowgoose for 7pm on Thursday 20th August. We'll spend the evening diving into summer herbs, with a focus on Rose. We'll make a Rose body scrub, Rose balm and botanical facial steam, with us wrapping up around 8.45pm.

There'll be herbal tea for you on arrival or you might prefer to buy a drink from the bar and you'll receive a warm, friendly welcome weaving fun and herbs together.

Have you been putting up with symptoms for a long time, whether it's fatigue, your skin, digestion, or hormonal?

We'll agree a plan of action at the end of your appointment and that may include nourishment, herbal medicine, hydration, joy - it's about treating you as a whole person.

I never planned to be a Junior Herbalist Club Leader 🌿💚

It's such a rewarding part of my life as a herbalist.

It's always a privilege to support patients and I love my clinic work, but there is something magical about working with children and sharing herbal knowledge.

Last year I completed my Level Three training and am now an 'Advanced' leader! The Level Three course starts in the early autumn and it's specifically aimed at teenagers.

Over the summer I also have Summer School for Level One which will be in Prestbury from 3rd to 7th August, perfect for nature loving children!

I've been lucky to develop some great friendships with many of the families. A big thank you all the parents who offer to help ❤️

For the last two years I've also delivered the course for a SEN school and primary school and Is love to work with more schools.

All levels of Junior Herbalist Club focus on learning through making and recently we've made Rose soap, Sage and Marshmallow throat spray, Calendula Infused Oils, Dandelion massage bars and we've planted seeds to start mini Apothecary gardens.

Harvesting herbs continues 🌼

If you'd like to learn about growing, harvesting and drying herbs I'll be covering this at my Herbal Infusions Workshop on Thursday 16th July Plumleys Garden Centre garden centre near Knutsford.

Join me for a late morning session from 11am to 12.30pm trying lots of herbal teas, well do a sensory tea tasting too and blending your own signature tea blend to take home.

Tickets are £38 and you can buy a ticket as a gift voucher too.
