Person Centred Care is massively important at Ashfields.

We have been planning Betty’s birthday for the last couple of months to ensure she had the best day possible.
Betty has told us multiple times that she would love a classic afternoon tea party to celebrate her 100th birthday… and so we delivered.
From old school tea sets, home-made cakes and sandwiches and decorations to match!

In the words of Betty, she’s had ‘the best day for 50years’

Thankyou to all the staff for supporting, Roadie and Gaye for visiting, Dave for his beautiful ‘smooth’ music, and all the love, cards and best wishes that everyone has sent! It truely means the world to us to see our Betty living her best life!

Special day today!
Our home managers grand-daughter had decided to have her beautiful locks cut in order to donate her hair to the wonderful Princess Trust. A trust that will use Harlee’s hair to create beautiful wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment and as a result of, have lost their own hair.
Harlee we are all so proud of you for doing something so amazing!
You look absolutely beautiful and you should be so proud of yourself!
You, your mum and dad all took turns in cutting off one lock, and your brother, Jesse, couldn’t believe the transformation!
Harlee, you are an inspiration ✨

What a wonderful day!
A trip on the Mary Sunley Canal Barge from Adlington to Marple and back again!
We have absolutely loved the serenity, peace and laid back nature this trip creates.
The chippy lunch was second to none!
Thanks to the girls for accompanying us and providing us with the best time! 🌊

We’ve had a lovely couple of hours this afternoon with the residents giving the staff a lesson on some famous faces, sharing what they were famous for and some factual information.
We had to laugh when the staff involved had to involve Google to check whether what they were being told was correct as they hadn’t heard of some of them 😂
We have all definitely learnt something new today 📖
