Next week marks Professional Care Workers’ Week, championed by The Care Workers' Charity ☂️, and is an important opportunity to celebrate the incredible people at the heart of social care 💜.

Taking place from the 14th to 18th September, the week shines a well-deserved spotlight on care professionals across the country, recognising the skill, dedication and compassion they bring to their roles every single day 🌸.

For us, it’s a chance to celebrate the incredible people behind the compassionate care we’re so proud to provide for local families.

The people who bring reassurance when it’s needed most. Who take the time to listen. Who build genuine relationships with clients and families. And who so often go that little bit further to make someone’s day brighter 💜.

And next week, we’ll be celebrating them in plenty of ways 🎉!

💜🎉Birthday celebrations 🎉💜
This week we’re celebrating a very special lady who brings so much joy to our care team. 🌸 Her beautiful smile and warm personality brighten our carers’ mornings and make every visit that little bit more special. 🥰

To make her birthday extra special, our wonderfully talented carer baked her the most beautiful homemade sponge cake! 🎂💜 It was made with lots of love, and we hope she enjoyed every delicious bite!

💜🏡 A Little Check-In Can Mean a Lot 🏡💜

As summer begins to wind down, it can be a lovely time to spend a little more time with someone you love and simply see how they’re getting on at home 🌿☀️.

Often, it’s the small things we notice first. Perhaps the fridge isn’t quite as well stocked as usual, the garden hasn’t had as much attention, or everyday jobs seem to be taking a little more time and effort 🪏.

On their own, these things may mean very little. But spending some proper time together can sometimes give you a much better sense of how someone is really feeling and whether there are things they’re beginning to find a little more difficult ☕🫶.

And if they could do with a helping hand, it doesn’t have to mean changing everything. A little support with everyday tasks, some companionship or simply having someone there when they need them can help make life easier, whilst allowing them to continue enjoying their home and independence in the way they always have 🏡.

Sometimes, simply spending time together and having an open conversation is the best place to start 🌿💜.

💜☀️ Making the Most of the Last Weeks of Summer ☀️💜

There’s something lovely about these last few weeks of summer. The evenings are still light, the garden is still full of colour and, when the weather plays ball, there’s plenty of opportunity to get outside and enjoy it 🌿☀️.

For older loved ones, staying active can be as simple as pottering in the garden, popping to the local shop, meeting a friend for coffee or sitting outside with a cup of tea ☕🌿. These everyday routines might seem small, but they can mean an awful lot 💜.

And if something has become a little more difficult, it doesn’t necessarily mean it has to stop 🌸. A shorter walk, a helping hand or simply having someone there for company can make all the difference 🫶.

That’s what good support should be about. Not taking over, but helping someone keep doing the things they enjoy, staying connected and living life in the way that feels right for them 🏡🌸.

💜Celebrating Our Amazing care Team💜

What better way to celebrate our incredible carers than with good food, great company and plenty of smiles!🥰

We recently held a special celebration event to say a huge thank you to our amazing team for all the compassion, dedication and care they give every day.🌟

We enjoyed a delicious buffet-style lunch, plenty of laughter 🤣and, of course, a fantastic Chocolate and Guinness cake, lovingly made by one of our very talented carers 🎂🍫and shared with some of our clients.

Our carers go above and beyond every day 🌸, making a real difference to the lives of the people we support. We are so proud to have such a wonderful team and hope you all know how appreciated you are.💜
