Aswell as a Laser Therapist, I work full time as a registered Occupational Therapist specialising in Mental Health. I had worked as a nursing assistant for 7 years in a clinical hospital environment, all whilst studying for my two degrees. I have a degree in BA Honours in Health and Social Care, which then led me to my MsC in Occupational Therapy.

It has always been a passion of mine to promote positive mental health and support those in improving their wellbeing. Personal experiences of mental health have made me appreciate and understand, how unfortunately our appearances can sometimes have a negative, but also positive impact on our mental health.

The idea behind MDO Skin is to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for my clients. I want clients to come in to my clinic and just be made to feel comfortable in their own skin. No judging just simply putting the worlds to rights whilst whilst engaging in treatments. I wanted to ensure my clients are offered the most affordable prices I possibly can, all whilst achieving the best results.

The story behind MDO Skin…✨… MDO Skin was created in October 2022. The logo was created to honour my late bonus Dad. The flower in the logo represents his passion for gardening. The name “MDO” is to honour his name, Mark Derek Organ. Im sure he wouldn’t mind me saying growing up he was very strict with us children 😂 but as an adult, I can appreciate that growing up he was always pushing us kids to be the best we could possible be. He would remind me daily how proud he was of me in how hard I worked to get where I am today. The prompting to start MDO Skin was unfortunately influenced by his passing and how life is so short, this is why we should always pursue our goals. He was an absolute grafter and everything he set out to do he achieved. Which today I am so grateful he instilled that on me.
