✨ **Wishmoor Catch-Up** ✨

We’ve enjoyed another wonderful few weeks at Wishmoor! 💛

🕺 We hosted our very own ABBA party and loved getting into the spirit by dressing up, dancing to live music and enjoying some glorious food! 🎶💃🍽️

🚌 We took a scenic trip around the beautiful Cotswolds, enjoying the sights and taking in the stunning countryside. 🌳🏡

🌺 We also visited the National Memorial Arboretum—a meaningful and reflective day surrounded by history and nature. ❤️

🌱 Back at Wishmoor, we enjoyed a relaxing gardening session, getting creative and connecting with nature. 🪴🌸

Activities like these are so important for supporting wellbeing, encouraging social connection, creating meaningful experiences and, most importantly, bringing plenty of smiles and joy! 😊💕

🌞🌸 Wonderful Days Out at Wishmoor! 🌸🌞

Our residents have been enjoying another busy week filled with fresh air, exercise, friendship and plenty of fun!

🚲 We have been keeping fit on our adaptive bicycles. These give everyone the opportunity to enjoy cycling, supporting mobility, strength, confidence and independence—all while having great fun! 💪😊

🚶‍♀️ Our Walkie Talkie group has been out exploring the local community, meeting new friends and enjoying stops at the church and its beautiful gardens to admire the flowers. We also visited the train station and enjoyed a lovely trip to the park. 🌷⛪🚉

Walking together is wonderful for physical health, but it is equally important for emotional wellbeing. It encourages conversation, reduces isolation and helps our residents remain connected to their local community. 💬💕

🐷🦙 We returned to Little Owl Farm Park—another firm favourite of ours! Spending time with animals can bring comfort, encourage interaction and create lots of smiles and happy memories. We even made a lovely four-legged friend! 🐶🥰

🍓 We also enjoyed a fantastic day picking our own fruit. There is something very rewarding about choosing and gathering fresh produce—and the temptation was definitely real! We may have enjoyed a few sweet treats on the journey home too! 😋🍬

Meaningful activities like these promote independence, stimulate the senses, encourage social connection and give our residents something special to look forward to. Most importantly, they bring happiness, laughter and new memories to treasure. 🌈✨

🌞🌊 Wishmoor’s Annual Beach Trip! 🌊🌞

What a truly wonderful day our residents had at the seaside! With the sun shining, the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand beneath our feet, it was a day filled with happiness, laughter and precious memories. 💙🏖️

Of course, no trip to the beach would be complete without a delicious ice cream! 🍦😋 Judging by the smiles, they certainly went down well!

Beach trips are about so much more than simply having a day out. The familiar sights, sounds and smells of the seaside can bring back treasured memories of family holidays and happy times from years gone by. They also provide gentle sensory stimulation, fresh air, social connection and a wonderful sense of freedom and adventure. 🥰

Seeing our residents relaxing together, enjoying the sunshine and making new memories was incredibly special. These are the meaningful moments that make such a difference to wellbeing and quality of life. 💕✨

🌟 What a wonderful week we had! 🌟

Our little friends from Debutots came to visit for another very special inter-generational session. This time, we enjoyed imaginative role play and became pirates for the day! 🏴‍☠️⚓ These visits bring so much joy, encourage communication and creativity, and help build meaningful connections across the generations. 💛

We also enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the top of the Malvern Hills with the Land Rover Experience. 🚙⛰️ Taking in the beautiful views, enjoying the fresh air and sharing a new adventure together was fantastic for everyone’s confidence, well-being and sense of achievement. 🌿☀️

To finish the week, our team enjoyed our annual staff camping trip! 🏕️🔥 It was a brilliant opportunity to relax, have fun and strengthen the friendships and teamwork that help us provide the very best care every day. 💚

A week filled with laughter, adventure, friendship and wonderful memories! 😊📸✨

🌞 What a wonderful week we had! 🌞

Last week we enjoyed a lovely trip to Upton Marina for lunch, taking in the views and looking at all the boats 🚤🍽️

Our Tools, Trowels and Tales group had a fantastic time reminiscing during a hands-on tool workshop 🛠️🌿 It was a great opportunity to share stories, spark memories and enjoy meaningful conversations.

We also made the most of the sunshine with our Summer BBQ — plenty of delicious food, singing, dancing and lots of laughter! 🍔🌭🎶💃

And of course, we celebrated a very special milestone… a huge Happy 101st Birthday to our lovely Benny! 🎂🎉 What an incredible celebration for a very special lady 💖

These moments are so important — bringing people together, encouraging memories, friendship, fun and a real sense of community 🥰✨

After a busy Care Home Open Week, we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing visit from the mobile farm 🐐🐴🐰🐢🐥

It was lovely to see our residents spending time with the animals, sharing smiles, memories and gentle moments together. Animal visits are so important in care settings, helping to reduce stress, lift moods, encourage conversation and bring comfort and joy 🥰💚

A big thank you to the mobile farm for such a special visit — it was the perfect way to unwind after a busy week! 🌾✨

🎉🏡 **What an Incredible Care Home Open Week!** 🏡🎉

As we bring **Care Home Open Week** to a close, we are reflecting on a truly wonderful week filled with friendship, laughter, learning, celebration and unforgettable memories. ❤️✨

Throughout the week, our residents enjoyed a fantastic variety of themed days and activities, each designed to promote wellbeing, connection and joy. 🌟

💬 **Communication Day** reminded us of the importance of staying connected and understanding the different ways people communicate, especially those living with dementia, sight loss or hearing impairments. We were delighted to welcome Catherine and her wonderful guide dog from Guide Dogs UK. 🦮❤️

💆‍♀️ **Ladies Day** gave our ladies the opportunity to relax, be pampered and enjoy some well-deserved self-care with flower arranging, hand massages, manicures and foot spas. 🌸💅✨

👔 **Men's Day & Father's Day** celebrated the amazing gentlemen in our home with gifts, games, social time and plenty of smiles. 🎁💙🎯

🎤🎶 Our **Open Week Party** brought everyone together with live entertainment, dancing, delicious food and lots of laughter. Seeing residents, families and staff enjoying themselves together was truly special. 🥳🍔🎵

🌼☕ We also took time to focus on relaxation, wellbeing and sensory experiences, from flower arranging and wellness cafés to calming sensory activities that encouraged comfort, engagement and meaningful moments. 🌈🫖💖

These activities are so much more than just fun—they help promote confidence, independence, communication, social interaction and emotional wellbeing. Most importantly, they create opportunities for residents to make memories, build friendships and continue enjoying fulfilling experiences every day. ❤️🏡

A huge **THANK YOU** to our incredible residents, families, friends, volunteers and dedicated staff who helped make the week such a success. Your support, enthusiasm and kindness made every day special. 🌟👏

🌟 Care Home Open Week 2026 – What a Fantastic Start! 🌟

Wow, what a busy and heartwarming week we've had already! 💖

Our residents have enjoyed a wonderful variety of activities, from exploring sensory experiences 👃👂👀✋👅 to taking a trip down memory lane through music 🎶, classic films 🎬, favourite hymns 🙏 and reminiscing sessions that sparked so many treasured conversations and smiles 😊.

Yesterday was extra special as our little friends from Debutots Worcestershire joined us for our Sports & Fitness Day ⚽🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️. They certainly brought the energy, enthusiasm and plenty of laughter! 😄 Together we enjoyed football, exercise, movement activities and lots of fun, helping to get everyone active and our blood pumping. ❤️💪

The magic didn't stop there – sharing lunch together was truly wonderful 🍽️💕. Seeing different generations connect, laugh and spend quality time together reminds us just how important these moments are.

Care Home Open Week is a fantastic opportunity to open our doors, celebrate life within our home, build connections with our local community and showcase the amazing care, companionship and opportunities our residents enjoy every day. 🏡💜 It's about creating meaningful experiences, strengthening relationships and making memories together.

A huge thank you to all the families who have joined us this week 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💐. Your support, visits and involvement mean so much to our residents and help make these occasions even more special.

And of course, a massive thank you to our incredible staff team 🌟👏. Their dedication, creativity, kindness and hard work make events like these possible and ensure every day is filled with care, laughter and meaningful moments.

Care Home Open Week is a national celebration that brings care homes and communities together. It provides an opportunity to showcase the wonderful care and support provided to residents, challenge misconceptions about care home living, and strengthen links with local people, organisations and businesses.
