The menopause transition can be about so much more than physical symptoms.

For many neurodivergent women, it’s the moment the mask no longer fits.

Coping strategies that worked for decades begin to unravel. The versions of yourself you created to survive, belong, or succeed start to fall away.

With that can come grief.

Grief for the person you thought you were.

Grief for relationships that change when the mask slips.

Grief for careers you’ve had to leave.

Grief for marriages that no longer fit.

Grief for the years spent trying to be someone you were never meant to be.

And alongside that grief can come something unexpected, the chance to discover who you really are.

That journey can feel lonely, but it doesn’t have to be.

That’s why Meno Spicy Social was created, to provide space to share experiences, be understood without judgement, and connect with women who truly get it.

‼️Breaking news... 🚨

It’s taken me years to realise that self worth is a feeling.

It can’t be measured by a number on the scales, the balance in your bank account, or your follower count.

For so long, I believed those things would tell me I was enough. They never did.

From pregnancy, hysterectomy and menopause - my weight has fluctuated and so has my self worth. The dreaded meno belly that so many women hate, but it’s society that has taught us that a flat stomach is the norm.

And maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts of menopause.

The older I get, the more I realise my body is the least interesting thing about me.

Menopause has a way of bringing our self worth to the surface. It shines a light on the places where we’ve sought external validation and invites us to heal them.

It asks us to prioritise ourselves, honour our needs, and remember that our value has never depended on what we achieve, how we look, or how others see us.

Stop waiting for the outside world to tell you your worth.

You’ve had it all along. ✨
