Soma Breathwork combines rhythmic breathing, music, meditation, and nervous system regulation techniques to support the body and mind.

When we consciously work with the breath, we can help to:

Still taking in the magic of Sunday’s Rise & Restore retreat 🤍✨

What a beautiful morning shared together.

From mindful movement and breathwork to deep rest and relaxation during the sound bath, the whole morning felt like such a gentle reminder of the importance of slowing down and making space for ourselves 🌿

There was such a calm, supportive energy in the room from start to finish, and we feel incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and allowed themselves the time to pause, breathe, release, and receive.

Watching everyone soften into the experience and hearing how grounded, relaxed, and restored people felt afterwards was so special 💫

A huge thank you to the lovely Em for guiding such a beautiful Pilates session, and to Debbie from Relax Your Soul for the deeply relaxing sound bath that helped everyone fully unwind.

These spaces mean so much to us, and we hope every single person left feeling lighter, calmer, and supported heading into the new week 🪷

So many of us move through life disconnected from our breath...

Breathing shallowly.

Holding tension.

Living in survival mode.

All without even realising it.

Yet the breath is always there, quietly waiting to guide us back into balance ⚖️

When we begin to breathe with awareness, everything starts to shift.

The nervous system softens, the mind becomes clearer, the body begins to relax, and we reconnect with ourselves more deeply.

This is why breathwork can feel so transformative.

Not because we are adding something new, but because we are remembering something ancient that has always existed within us 🤍

Why do we dance in Soma Breath? 💃

Before we slow ourselves down for our Soma Breath sessions, we begin with a core element of the practice - dance.

The purpose of this is to move, release, and transform stagnant energy, emotions, and physical tension from the body.

It serves as an expressive practice that, when combined with rhythmic breath and music, acts as "medicine" to trigger joy, boost feel-good brain chemicals like dopamine, and induce states of collective, ecstatic, or meditative trance ✨

You may feel strange and uncomfortable at first, but once everybody eases into it you forget there is anybody else in the room with you (unless you are dancing with them, of course!) 🌿

Since I've received some new followers recently, I thought I'd reintroduce myself!

I'm Anita, your Lawford-based Soma Breath Instructor 🤍

I hold classes using Soma Breath to help others experience the transformative power of breathwork and meditation.

Soma Breath can improve various areas of our lives - including improving our confidence and self-esteem, stress relief, improving sleep and preventing illness.

My classes are held on Thursdays at 19:00 and Fridays at 9:30 at The Hub in Lawford Green. They are small supportive groups of men and women.
