We have a number of non verbal young people and children join us here at The Moat.
Being non-verbal doesnāt mean you canāt or donāt want to communicate. It simply means you do it differently.
Humans may struggle to adapt to this in our quick moving society but here at The Moat all our animals are more than accommodating, they feel and hear every unspoken word. They communicate in many ways and will happily spend time with you.
Touching and hugging some of our animals help to develop emotional bonds, associating these feelings with care and affection. The un-conditional, non judgemental bond between a animal and child/young person encourages attachment and interaction with other living beings. Supporting the foundations of connecting with others for children, especially those that live with ADHD and Autism.
