A short mini break in Lisbon gave me the perfect opportunity for a quick Pilates routine to loosen up my body.

It’s nice to move just to feel good. No plan, no timings, just to move in a way that makes my body happy and my mind.

Afterwards I always say to myself “movement DOES feel good” and I’m reassured that this path I’ve chosen is the right one..

6 x glorious days in France

3x days in Paris covering 20,000 steps a day visiting the iconic Tourist sights

3x days in the countryside cycling 40,000 km a day on electric bikes from Reims to Epernay, visiting Champagne houses and cathedrals and cycling alongside the canal and through vineyards.

1 x 5 minute Pilates session in my hotel room as my back was aching and I was moaning due to a bad sleep in unusual bed.

Wear the hot pants!

Joseph Pilates wore hot pants, he was proud, strong and unapologetic.

I’ve never worn hot pants.. but found myself borrowing my daughters for the Ibiza concert at Bowood having only leggings or smart stuff to wear..

And I loved it.

Age 53, loving Pilates, living a life where I move my body and encourage others to do the same. Living a life in a body that allows me to live the life I want to be living.

On this occasion

Wearing the hot pants, not apologizing for it but loving every moment.

Fitwoman Pilates in the Sun.
What a wonderful location, in the garden of one of my clients.
We enjoyed Pilates outside, fresh air, grass on our fingers and toes, then coffee and fruits and goodies afterwards.

It’s more than Pilates. It’s a community, friendship and feeling good.

My heart sings when I see people’s children and family joining the Pilates.

I first met this gorgeous girl as a 6week old when her Mum came to my buggy fitness class!

Now she is joining her Mum doing the Pilates videos via the subscription AND using her squishys as a weight.

I honestly have never seen a cuter picture.
What a positive influence her Mother is on her life and she’s completing a 60 minute class!

Riding at speed on the welsh hills with the best company and my girl there too.
It was another fantastic week thanks to and my friends who came back again this year for a repeat riding holiday plus a lot of banter

Many times I thanked my Pilates core for keeping my balance as we galloped up and around and my abs were screaming at the end of the day but my cheeks ached from the laughter

It’s become a birthday tradition!
Every May we dust off the bikes to cycle a 50 mile weekend route stopping for a gorgeous meal on the Saturday night

This year I was worried, I haven’t spent the time doing training cycle rides, I’ve been pulled in other directions.
I decided to relax and enjoy it. The sun shone, views were stunning and all the Pilates and strength training, horse riding all helped as found my legs and balance were good.

I love it. And felt pretty in my green dress from my favorite shop thank you
It’s worth a trip to Marlborough to shop there!
