Set of four original British bird illustrations now available at the studio for £100 each or £350 as a full set. These are original artworks and not prints and will be sold framed and ready to hang. Ideally I'd like to sell them as a full set hence the discount.

If you're an established tattoo artist looking to work in the south Derbyshire, Derby and Swadlincote area or you'd just like a change of pace then I'm looking to offer a work station to 1 or possibly 2 artists at XXVII Art, Illustration & Tattoo located in Melbourne, Derbyshire. My June is now fully booked and my July dates are limited so if you'd like to get booked in for July/August drop me a message and let me know what you have in mind. Thankyou all for keeping me so busy whilst the studio finds its feet!

Going forward I'll be looking to book some more fun and colourful projects where I can take some free reign in terms of design/style. If you'd like a large scale watercolour floral/animal piece or a pop culture sleeve of gaming stuff, Simpsons, Marvel, Movies etc then feel free to get in touch. These projects will be done at reduced day rates.

Tattoo artist position and collaborator opportunities available 💚🙌

I'm really happy with the way the studio is coming together and starting to work now. I'm slowly working on getting the wall space filled with lots more original artwork both in the gallery space downstairs and the upstairs studio area. If anyone else here is an artist, Illustrator, tattoo artist or photographer etc, and would like display their work at XXVII Art, Illustration & Tattoo then please drop me a message.

I'm also still looking to invite another already established tattoo artist to come and work alongside myself. If you're looking to have a change of scenery and value a nice chilled workspace where you can just concentrate on tattooing and creating art then I'd love to here from you :)

Melbourne is a fantastic artsy little town close to Derby, Swadlincote and Ashby de la Zouch. Donington park the home of Download festival is right on the doorstep as is East Midlands Airport. Melbourne is surrounded by beautiful countryside and some amazing pubs, restaurants and attractions.

A Quiet monday afternoon in the studio means I finally got a chance to put down an underpainting on this canvas that I've had sketched out for a few weeks. XXVII Art, Illustration & Tattoo is shaping up to be as much of a working Art studio as it is a tattoo studio. I'll be using as much downtime as I have to start pushing out some oil and acrylic paintings all of which will be displayed in the ground floor gallery space. I can't wait to see how the studio starts to take shape and find its rhythm over the coming months.

My vision for XXVII Art, Illustration & Tattoo has always been to build a space that is all about real Art and real tattooing with no shortcuts and definitely no AI influence! I'm seeing alot of new tattoo artists posting designs that are 100% AI generated and the truth is it just looks soulless and lacks any creative spark. If an artist can't hand draw your design then how are they going to tattoo it effectively? If you value real hand made art then feel free to drop me a message or drop into the studio and discuss your new tattoo.

The studio is filling up with original artwork and high quality Giclée prints all of which are for sale. The studio ground floor is a sleek Gallery space with the tattoo studio upstairs. I'd love as many of you as possible to come and check it out over the summer!
